whippy
Ok guys let me clear this one up for everyone. As already mentioned on here Lewis does come from a back ground of MX and as such seems to always jump straight up whenever he falls! This was highlighted to the extreme last season when in may he broke his ankle and yet jumped straight up before collapsing. As team manager i was one of the first on the scene and I can assure you that Lewis was winded he had either landed funny or had something hit the top of his chest area. and was winded which is why it took a minute or two before he walked off. Nothing more than that people. Having know Lewis for the last couple of years he is a great guy and a racer and would not just lay around for no reason, it is not in his nature to do that. The Dudley fans will clearly decide how they want to handle things on Tuesday but give the guy a break please he does not deserve to be called a cheat in fact in this case nothing could be further from the truth. The support that Dudley have is fantastic and as I have said many times I truly hope that one day you have your own track back again speedway would be the better for it. Lastly as for us winning the league, that would be great but this has all come from the press not us, Bagpuss and emuk you have continued to be a great support to the Young Stars and you will both know that like a stuck record I and the club have always said this is and always will be a development club. I truly believe we have 3 or 4 riders that can go much further and that is what the Young Stars is about. I have said that if the riders continue to improve as the season goes on then a playoff spot is possible and we all are working hard to make that happen. Please continue to support these young guys, we keep saying it but just the 3rd meeting of the season is hardly helping either Oops forgot to mentions Jock and Screamer now I will be booed lol. Thanks for the support everyone ,. Where we stand we were in direct line when Lewi came off and no way was this game play. Well done to both teams. An enjoyable meeting which didn't end how we would have liked it but well done to Cradley. Twists and turns for both teams. Adam Roynon was in a class of his own. Great to see him racing again. Let's hope he has an injury free season.
Ava
I was at the meeting weds night stood by the first bend. I have also been to other meetings where the heathens have been riding and I have to say it has been my experience every time that a portion of heathen fans have cheered, laughed and made out of line comments when an opposing rider has fallen off! There is absolutely no excuse for this not even if your cheering the loss of their points and the gain to you. As a decent human being the first concern in your head should be is the rider ok. Just remember whilst you were cheering and laughing on weds night Lewis Lerr was in some discomfort and James cockle had broken his thumb. Whilst the heathens may be all you have Lewis Kerr and James cockle are the only Lewis Kerr and Jess cockle that KL young stars have and I like you will make no apologies for finding the behaviour of certain heathens fans disgusting! Especially in light of recent events. RIP RICO As for Lewis Kerr cheating well that's just pathetic. He was in obvious discomfort when he got up, walked back to the pits, I'm the pits, after the meet and the day after the meet as anyone who follows him on twitter will know. That was some elaborate cheat wasn't it? Lewis Kerr was riding really well in that meet and I think perhaps some saw him as maybe the biggest threat to stop the heathens winning. After all complaints were made about him being in heat 15 weren't they despite him not being the highest scorer that night. Heathens chose to ride against a higher scorer! Go figure!
shad176
Some riders instinct is to get up straight away like they do in motocross which he came from!! Looking in the pits he was holding his chest and throat so before you call any1 a cheat get your facts right! I've watched the young stars for years and seeing Kerr come through has never ever came across as a cheat! Ask any stars fans and they will tell you he wouldn't stay on the track if he could of cleared it in time! Nice to boo an up and coming young Brit!! Round of applause! Heathens by name heathens by nature!! if scott campos had been leading perry and richings i beg to differ on that.

I remember the development league thing For me personally, I don't mind whether we win, lose or draw. Can't be too critical of these lads as they are just trying to find their way in the sport. All I want to see is some decent racing and everyone coming away unhurt. I can appreciate that the lack of fixtures so far can't be helping the cause much. Isn't helping them all keep race sharp I guess.
Bagpuss
Winning or losing at this level is irrelevant for me, as others have said its about seeing the lads develop
771neil
After the first 4-5 races it was. Track was too grippy early on with only Roynon able to handle conditions. 21st century heathen
C'mon guys let's give this a bit of context. A rider got booed a bit by a few away fans because in the heat of the moment they thought he'd got the race stopped because our boys were out front. This happens at every track every week where a similar situation arises. Did anyone hear the jeers directed at the Brummies riders that came off last Monday night at Belle Vue. Even Barker was booed/jeered and he was a completely innocent victim in what could have been a nasty crash for him. I can't imagine he's upset by it and if he is tell him to have a word with Jason Garrity. After some of his antics he gets the panto villain treatment at Monmore 'Wood'. He embraces it and plays up to the role and just has a laugh enjoying the banter. If any rider can't handle a few boos in this scenario then heaven help him if he ever faces the wrath of a large Polish crowd. Nicki Pedersen gets booed by thousands at Cardiff but he just laughs it off. The Heathens fans are used to being vocal in support of our own riders and a light-hearted pop at the opposition. It's all the fun of the fair and we always applaud opposition race winners, and the team should they beat us. We took some right ommerings at home last season but everybody stuck around for the victory parade to congratulate the winners. The only time we've not is back in the good ol' days when racing against Wolves. We used to boo them just for having the audacity to turn up!! I'm not for one minute suggesting every Heathens fan is a little angel, there are some numpties that make daft comments at every track. Ava
Every heathens meeting I have attended and virtually every one I have read the reports from have the same theme in common. DH fans laughing, jeering and making nasty comments when opposing riders fall off. DH have a rep for it now and you know what they say 'there's no smoke without fire'. Bagpuss
Agree with all that Chris, the only thing I had a problem with was with the idea of planning to boo a young Brit at the next meeting. Anyway, line drawn under it all for me.
TMW
Heathens just seem to like their pantomime villains, they seem to adopt one each year. Obviously this year it's Kerr and in true Garrity style i'd just play them at their own game.
