Fortunately i spy floodlights they might need them depending upon when it goes dark in Sweden. Speedway at midnight in one of the Lands Of The Midnight Sun. They therefore might not need them even at midnight lol.

Sun doesn't set in another hour or so.

update about Buczek; seems like he broke a finger in the crash and have been

told be medics that he is not allowed to continue this meeting.

Also grading will be held every second heat now.

Spoilt as a contest with Valsarna losing two riders. Shame, because it would have been very close with both at full strength. With the weather though, we are lucky to have gotten through it.

Premier Sports have certainly found a hidden gem in that we have a live sport to fill the early evening which isn't football, rugby, cricket or any other ball game.

Variety is the spice of life!

Truly hope the weather improves for the Danish Final really looking forward to that so early in the season.

ManchesterPaul, a belated thanks for the proggy. You are a gem producing this, I like the format which you produce the programmes in and I also take advantage of your GP programmes for each meeting.

There are some good people on this forum who I find help increase my enjoyment with their local knowledge and updates.

Thanks to you all for your time and effort.

Thanks for the Thanks, you're welcome.

I'm not a stato in that i don't keep and re-read either my own racecards or the match programmes that i fill in at the tracks. However, as with the Swedish racing on the TV it does in my eyes make a huge difference to be able to look at a racecard and see who's scored what and who's due to race who in the heats ahead.

Sure Speedway is good even if you haven't a clue who is riding and you simply watch the four different colour helmeted riders racing around, but more knowledge is more enjoyment.

  • 2 weeks later...

the meeting between Hammarby and Vargarna (which was postponed due to Lee's death) will be held on Monday.

Unfortunately for Vargarna many of their riders are occupied with racing in England

and they will have a big problem with getting a full team that reaches up to the average floor.

Thanks to SSI who decided to place this meeting tonight, Vargarna will be fined for not reaching the average floor.

up to the floor average, The majority of the fines will go to Hammarby. Really great decision. whoco5.gif

I thought that SSI was supposed to work for the good of the sport and i honestly i cant see how

this decision was for the best of the sport. On the contrary its more like a farce.

The question is also why there are backup days (June 19th and August 7th) if the cannot be used.

Anyway here are the teams:

Hammmarby - Vargarna

Hammarby

team manager: Anders Fröjd

  1. Grzegorz Walasek
  2. Dennis Andersson
  3. Magnus Zetterström
  4. Tobiasz Musielak
  5. Tomasz Gollob
  6. Adrian Miedzinski
  7. Kamil Brzozowski

Vargarna

team manager: Thomas Carlsson, Peter Jansson

  1. Adam Skornicki
  2. Magnus Karlsson
  3. Bjarne Pedersen
  4. Daniil Ivanov
  5. Nicki Pedersen
  6. Viktor Bergström
  7. André Hertzberg
