vog
So, tomorrow Stoke take on Scunthorpe in the KoC second leg. Considering how close this was at Scunthorpe, it has the potential to be a great meeting. Teams (Taken from the Stoke website) are: Stoke: 1) Ash Birks 2) Jaimie Pickard 3) Tony Atkin 4) Rhys Naylor 5) R/R for Richie Worrall 6) Ross Walter 7) Ben Reade Scunthorpe: 1) Jerran Hart 2) Simon Allen 3) R/R for Steve Worrall 4) Tom Young 5) Gary Irving 6) Tommy Fenwick 7) Max Clegg For Stoke, R/R is everyone bar Birks, for Scunthorpe R/R is everyone. Could be close, but I think Stoke to win by about 10.
Fozzie4388
Jerran, Tom and Gary will all need to be on top form to give the Saints any chance of keeping the score respectable. Although saying that Young Max could be a spoiler at reserve.
greyhoundp
Can realistically only see a Stoke win here, Ben Reade at reserve is the trump card for the Potters, and i think Stoke will cover Richies absence better than The Saints will cover Steves. I can also see Malcolm giving plenty of Track time to Rhys and Ross, if the opportunity arises.

lucifer sam
Any information about Simon Allen Rob? Hi Phil, I think the surname is Allan rather than Allen. He's an Australian, but one with a British passport. He came across at the Scunny P&P as very enthusiastic. He has rode in the Scunthorpe Stags MDL team this season. Haven't got a clue of his age - apologies if I've made him older than he is, but I would estimate he's somewhere in his 20s.. MrMungo
Is he not another one of these ex Motocrossers?
lucifer sam
Is he not another one of these ex Motocrossers? Tommy Fenwick is certainly a Motocrosser, not sure about Simon Allan. lucifer sam
Good effort by the Saints with so many riders missing, but well done to Stoke. Entertaining meeting, even if it was a bit on the chilly side. All the best Rob
montie
Quite enjoyed this meeting, some good close heats and with the result still in the balance going into heat 15 Gary Irving was fantastic, best rider on the night i thought,Morris deserved more for his efforts and Tom Young continues to impress, special mention for Tommy Fenwick, some bullet starts and a few points, look forward to watching him progress For stoke Birks and Reade looked good but they made hard work of this meeting i thought, once reade moves up into team they will struggle i think,
EC Rides Again
Very respectable showing for the Saints over the two legs. When the draw was made I thought that the Potters would go through by a far larger margin than just four points.
greyhoundp
Yes, the Saints did better than i expected, and with a little bit of luck could easily have gone through to the next round.
ChubbyChesgire
Yes a good meeting - the temperature certainly dropped at the end. Walters and Naylor are still a concern, and hopefully they will have started to get act together before Ben moves into the main body, or as you say, we may struggle. Good to see Tony finally getting it right again, and for Jaimie to get a few more points, he hasn't looked right so far this year, but after the early fall, his confidence seemed to pick up with each ride, and I hope that he's soon back to the form he showed last year. And Ben - well he's amazing - to think we dropped him last year for a couple of meetings ! Ash was good, but obviously still needs more time to learn our track, as he fell off twice at the exact same point ! I agree Irving was definitely best on the night, and Young showed real promise.
