crazysue
Is there anyone going to this meeting who would be able to text updates to the updates site? If so, could you please either leave a message here or send me an email or pm. Thanks
Bryn
Can confirm that season tickets are NOT valid for this meeting as it's an F.I.M. meeting as such and not a Lakeside one. Season ticket holders attending can park their vehicles in the normal place. Can further confirm that OUR normal admission prices e.g. Adults £17 apply, programmes on sale separately at £4. Practice is now underway but is NOT open to the public. Now 11.20am and it's a scorcher on the weather front. Car park will be open earlier but turnstiles will not be open until 2.30pm with parade of riders getting underway at 4p.m. First race of 25 scheduled to start at 4.15pm. Parsloes 1928 nearly
Czech Republic Vaclav Milik Eduard Krcmar Roman Cejka Ondrej Veverka Zdenek Holub Four and a half years ago I saw the Czech Republic Under 15s national Final. Line up was Jaroslav Hladky, Miroslav Machek Miroslav Horak, Jakub Fencl, Zdenek Vrba & Ondrej Veverka. Interesting that only one (Veverka) figures in today's U-21 squad...!

Good to get an update - i suppose thinking about it, there is often this sort of 'wastage' of riders when one's originally talking about school-kids. Good luck to the CR team today! R Worrall & Howarth are getting good EL experience, would be good to see one or two others getting some top flight rides before the season is out too. BigFatDave
A well-deserved Victory to the Young Aussies, but huge congratulations to the Brits, and by extension to the Darren & Sharon Boocock Scholarship. Without the experience provided by Marcus & Bev Williams British Speedway would be in a parlous state indeed; the experience gathered by the young Brits riding in Oz has served them well and will continue to do so with YOUR backing.. I urge anyone with the desire to see Speedway in Britain become great again to support the Scholarship. I'm sure Main Man will be able to assist you in making every effort to improve our sport.
Custom House Kid
After a night to dwell on it not a bad meeting in spite of the weather and numerous stoppages and a ref who was at a different meeting to me? after his recent meetings for the hammers I was expecting more from Ritchie but in hindsight that was a bit unfair, why he was excluded in race 1 still baffles me? Steve showed why he deserved his place with some good rides and was competitive. Kyle again did not let himself down. Tom did as well as I expected in the circumstances and Joe I will be kind and say it must have been an off night. I do not feel the track conditions helped the brits. Was it 5 hours well spent to be honest no! (I live 15mins from the track) Edited May 28, 2012 by Custom House Kid
