At the risk of being rather repetitive as with pretty much every flaming meeting at the moment can someone local keep us updated on the weather front please ? I'm about an hour away and it's a drizzly day . Don't really want to waste time and fuel etc if it's not looking good ! Cheers in advance .

Be leaving Kent shortly ready for, hopefully, our first meeting of the season.

Surely we are not going to get another rain off!

Certainly can't see any problems at the moment, as Damon says the lightest shower about an hour or so ago, but nothing of any consequence. Yesterday was fine too bar an odd shower.

The scoreline doesn't show what a half decent meeting this was. Some close racing on a well prepared track.Ht15 on its own was brilliant. All 7 mildenhall lads put in a great shift.Paid 17 for Joe was a great return.Looks a total different rider from last season.Cam led from the front, and continues to look good.Brilliant back up from Danny yet again, and Stef looked superb.Had the fast Irving beat before Irving fell. The reserves again impressed..Especially Josh, who looked a lot smoother compared to previous weeks.

Was really impressed by Young for Scunny.Looked really quick and smooth.Max Clegg had a decent ht14.Quick gate and un troubled despite Dannys best efforts.

Such a good feel about the club at the moment.Things are looking pretty bloody good.

As Adz said above

Excellent 2nd half as well today, AJL Match with the Fen Tiger Cubs victorious 26-10, plus seven match races with plenty of very promising youngsters on show. All in all 28 races in 2 and a quarter hours, Mildenhall speedway is certainly going in the right direction under this promotion! :approve:

Have to agree with previous posters, the scoreline did not reflect the racing Jacobs pass of Young on the line in ht 10 and the team riding of Heeps to hold out Irving in heat 13 was excellent, before his come from back race in heat 15 to join Jacobs. Irving was good for Scunny as was Young. Wish Adam a speedy recovery from his injury and I hope Martin Knuckley is ok after his coming together with Jamie Collins in the race to the line in heat 2 of the second half (I had to leave before the remaining heats so don't know whether he appeared again). Excellent track prep by young Mr Louis. The racing served up this year has been excellent so far.

Mixed day for Nathan Stoneman today, but still doing well in his debut season...........Another Heat 2 win, and a good second place behind Gary Irving, as R/R for Lewis Blackbird, followed up by a fall & exclusion, with two ducks......bit sore from what I gather, but still putting in a great shift, keep it up mate.

With 3 rookies a 3.25 av rider. Adam breaking an arm in his first race left us weak to say the least. However for an away performance the youngsters handled the situation, which is what its all about for them. Hard luck to Gary falling when on a T/R. Well done Tom! Thats the first meeting for 3 riders out of the way. Onwards and upwards, Scunny youngsters will come good.......just watch!

I enjoyed yesterdays meeting with some excellent performances from the Tigers, Jacobs pass on the last bend, Camerons riding is always exciting, him and Joe seem to have a decent partnership.

Stephan had Irving beaten in my opinion when he was on a tactical, Gary was having a go, but fell trying, he did look quick for Scunthorpe.

Our two reserves continue to win races, which is great, and considering they have only had a few meetings.

I now look down at the programme and when you see Halseys name, I think yep we could win this one, he is in excellent form and on a 4.76?? average? superb.

For Scunthorpe, Young looked a decent prospect and rode well yesterday.

well done to the Mildenhall Lads today everybody rode well. Have to feel a bit for Scunny. Irving tried on a tac ride but as previously said think Stefan would have still won. They also had some riders on P/L duty so if they had been there may have been a different story.

wishing Adam Wrathall all the best. Only part of this sport i dont like when riders get injured. Hope he has a speedy recovery

Well done to the tigers am really enjoying waving my chequered flag for your wins keep it up.

Good meeting yesterday, with the final scoreline not doing justice to some excellent racing (Heats 9 & 10 were both right out of the top drawer). Some great performances by youngsters on both sides - which is what speedway at this level is all about.

Stood with Phil K, who commented how much Tom Young had improved since last year. And Max Clegg's ride in Heat 14 was faultless, such a mature ride from one so young.

The initial diagnosis on Adam Wrathall is a suspected broken wrist, let's hope that once the swelling goes down it just proves to be battered and bruised rather than broken.

All the best

Rob

I hope Martin Knuckley is ok after his coming together with Jamie Collins in the race to the line in heat 2 of the second half (I had to leave before the remaining heats so don't know whether he appeared again).

Yes, both riders appeared again, and ironically both crashed again in Heat 6. I think both were OK, after that second tumble.

All the best

Rob
