manchesterpaul
Well after the first two viewings the Danish League has not provided the greatest excitement so far. Hopefully it's early days and we'll get plenty of good stuff as we go along. Â Seeing as i haven't paid travel money and admittance fees i'm quite relaxed about it, especially as we're getting to watch it totally free of charge and an excellent quality feed. Â I think we're due back Wednesday for Denmark and Sweden tomorrow, hey this is like being a speedway rider a different country every day! brandonbee48
Nice tight finish in store for the last heat. Just 2 points in it and l'ii put my dollar on Esbjerg. Mind you i never win bugger all. Alan. Â See, i never win diddley squat. Â Low key, but hey, it's speedway and after my 3 heat blip the stream was fine. Sweden tomorrow and back to Denmark on Wed. Take care everyone and thanks for the company. Alan.
MrMungo
Bjerre did when it mattered. Tight match, even though the racing wasn't the greatest. It's Slangerup on Wednesday, starting again at 5.30pm GMT. The opponents are Fjelsted (really!)
manchesterpaul
Take care all. I'm well pleased i caught sight of this thread the other day love seeing Speedway in other countries and no inkling such coverage was available with a fine stream quality. It's Slangerup on Wednesday, starting again at 5.30pm GMT. The opponents are Fjelsted (really!) We owe you a big vote of thanks for putting us on to this and, of course, Kanal for streaming it. I am sure they will tighten up on the coverage, but it is a good start. I find it fascinating to see the different venues and facilities but at my age i'm never going to be able to learn Polish and Danish so i can understand the interviews. Most league meetings in my experience have two or three really good races and a lot of routine. But that is speedway. It can't be a thrill a minute. Nice if it was, but that isn't real life.. The great thing about league racing for me has always been the combination of some good racing plus an interesting scoreline. Just like tonight. I 've always said the ideal result is a 2 point home win. Home supporters go home happy "We won" and away supporters go home saying "We nearly did it" Well done Denmark. This is good entertainment. Thank you. Alan.
pandorum
Got to agree with Alan about the coverage and speedway in general. It's great to see these speedway venues and watch a match live there and echo my thanks for those who place the links here. I think most of us had the same thoughts about the start line girls but only he was brave enough to say it in case they had relatives on the forum The commentary is a bit laid back and I enjoy Pearson on Sky who shows some passion bordering on insanity but I guess Kanal will improve both the angles and commentary as it goes on. The start angle is not great as I would prefer 90 degree to face on but it's free so complaining is a bit rude.
brandonbee48
I hope i didn't come across as too cruel about the start line girls. It was more an observation about the difference between the Polish girls and these, obviously local, girls. Polish speedway is on a whole different level. For the most part ( and i know there are exceptions) the stadiums are palaces, the crowds (often) massive, and the girls are model types, with carefully worked out routines- and presumably paid for so doing. It's a whole different world when we move to Denmark, to a rural setting. I presume these girls were the daughters of track staff, or local supporters, just helping out with a smile. I think this insight into how it is in Denmark is wonderful. I concur about camere angles, commentary, occassional lack of graphics etc, but i'm sure that will come with time. The fact that we have coverage is first, last and every, consideration. Now resident in speedway "vacuum land" of the USA, i feel blessed that i can watch Poland on Sunday, UK on Mon, Sweden on Tuesday, Denmark on Wed, Allsvenskan (we hope!) on Thur. and a GP every other Sat. It is all different, it is all entertaining and it is the sport i have loved and championed all my life. Long may it continue and ( we hope ) grow. Sincerely. Alan. Thank you. Alan.  No worries, BB48. But if it wasn't me, it would've been someone else instead.  Kanal Sport are new to showing Speedway. They only started recently. Last week (or was it the week before?) was their first match, so they are still very new to it. They don't have the budget of SKY, so it would be unfair to compare it to SKY, but it's still pretty good I think. I would personally prefer it if they spend more time concentrating on the battles at the back. Other than that, I certainly have no complaints.  The stream is good and reliable (so far) and it's free, which is an added bonus!  Next up is a trip to Sjælland tomorrow to see Slangerup V Fjelsted. And it really is Fjelsted this time. I have triple-checked! The expected team line-ups:  Slangerup:  1 Jesper B Monberg 2 Kenneth Kruse Hansen 3 Mikkel Michelsen 4 Nicki Barrett 5 Kenni Nissen  Fjelsted  1 Hans N Andersen 2 Rene Bach 3 Peter Kildemand 4 Claus Vissing 5 Henrik Møller  Slangerup is one of the few tracks in Denmark I haven't been to, so I'm personally looking forward to seeing a new Danish track. But if I know Speedway in Denmark, it'll probably be in the middle of a field somewhere! The match begins at 5.30pm UK time.  Fjelsted look a lot stronger to me, so I'm expecting an away win. Slangerup will be a lot stronger once Hancock is able to ride. He's in their squad but is unavailable until June, sadly.  Kanal Sport are also scheduled to show the Danish Final live on 16th May. However, the semi-final was moved to Outrup (from Esbjerg, which was cancelled twice), but that was cancelled tonight, so God knows when they'll be able to fit it in. brandonbee48
Further to the above, which speedway nation are these from? Ireland, Zambia, Fiji, Taiwan, Faroe Isles or P-L-N-  http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/zdjecia/galeria/772/row-rybnik-ksm-krosno-4347/4-23554#photo-start  Regards. Alan. Then again i guess these ladies are a very welcome addition to speedway nowadays and a full part of a meeting. Was one of the more pleasant surprises upon my return after a good decade or more away from the sport. Approve!

Well i can't take any credit away from you,but i did address a question to Rasmus terkelsen on here about a month ago asking for details.Guess he never saw my question and then i forgot all about it until you started the thread. http://www.speedway-...showtopic=69503 Â And same for me.I once planned a trip to Slangerup the day after a Parken GP,but my girlfriend at the time got all moody,so that was that. brandonbee48
Hi everyone, Stream is working fine for me here in the USA, so those in Europe should get it fine as it doesn't have to cross the Atlantic by carrier pigeon. Â Fingers crossed for the weather. According to our Swedish friend Ghostwalker, it is not looking too great in Sweden for tonight. Â Looks like it may be delayed? MrMungo
The match has been put back to 7pm Danish time/6pm UK time due to a wet track. I assume it is then they will decide to go ahead or not. If not, they will repeat the match from Monday night. Â That's the basic gist of what the message says. Â Edit: Now put back 'til 6.15pm UK time. Edited May 9, 2012 by MrMungo
