racers and royals
VERY benevolent ref! Â Is Busk Jakobsen related to Alf by any chance? Alf Garnett-shoud`t think so different name
brandonbee48
Alf Garnett-shoud`t think so different name you never know today with name changes- Michael Max, Jesper J. etc. Â Unusual number of falls. Exuberance or a tricky track surface? Â It looked the simplest of falls, but he's been down a long time. Fingers crossed he is okay.

HenryW
It's a little bit off topic, but I didn't want to start a new thread for something rather random but still "Danish speedway" related.... Whilst I was over in Denmark recently, I attended the 2012 Fyn 80cc Championship meeting hosted by the Vissenbjerg-Bred Motor Klub and enjoyed it immensely. Then again, what true speedway fan wouldn't like to see 21 races of 16 kids battling each other on little bikes and delivering more passing than is usually seen in a season of Sky EL matches  I recorded the final and thought I might share the video on here...The quality clearly isn't great as the autofocus lost track a little here and there (it really is the camera's fault, not where I was pointing it, honest), but there is no Nigel Pearson to listen to, so those that hate him will be OK to watch it  Watching these kids slide around, it's easy to see where we have lost out....I can only dream of a time when we have this kind of racing in the UK to go and watch.... MrMungo
Tomorrow's scheduled match from Grindsted has already been called off due to a waterlogged track. It'll be re-staged in September, so no live Speedway tomorrow evening, sadly. Not from Denmark, anyway.

manchesterpaul
 Alan. Â Never mind we've got the current leaders Holsted racing against the champions Slangerup on Wednesday. Hope the weather holds up with Nicki Pedersen and Greg Hancock leading the home and away teams respectively. Will be interesting to see how Martin Vaculik performs for the hosts too. Throw in Przemyslaw Pawlicki to make a top trio and surely a home win is on the horizon? Edited June 25, 2012 by manchesterpaul

Throw in   Przemyslaw Pawlicki to make a top trio and surely a home win is on the horizon?  Published on 24. 24th jun 2012 June 2012   Rasmus Jensen and Nicklas Porsing is ready to challenge the world champion - Photo John Bo Jensen  Awaits one of the season's most exciting matches in the Danish Metal Speedway League when defending champions from Slangerup to wrest a victory out of the league's current number one - Holsted Speedway Club.   There is a tradition for one hell of a match when Slangerup and Holsted meet each other in the Danish speedway league Both teams put in the strongest possible line-up and both teams have one running in front, who knows what it's like being the world's best speedway run.  Holsted is represented by the triple world champion Nicki Pedersen in front.  He comes among others to compete against Slangerups world champion, the reigning World Champion Greg Hancock Although Slangerup often has been a great challenge for Holsted, does not it Holsteds team leader Rudi Hansen, something that Slangerup also use this time Greg Hancock as the sharpest weapon.  "I'm as happy that Greg Hancock passes, both for the audience's sake but also for the sport," says Rudi Hansen, adding that this will be one of the year's best matches.  "I think it's some incredibly strong team that is total, and I think there will be a close game match on all five seats," he says.  Other Running with confidence   Both Greg Hancock and Nicki Pedersen had to be Saturday beaten by Holsteds other driver, Martin Vaculik, who won a Grand Prix match in Poland.  Vaculiks victory pleases not just Slangerups team leader Henrik Rosendal.  "It was not exactly in the plan, for now he's probably self-confidence in order, and it comes as not to make race less dense," says Henrik Rosendal.  Slangerup asked without the team's newly appointed team captain, Kenneth Kruse Hansen, who has not enjoyed anything special the last match.  Henrik Rosendal emphasizes that it has not been an easy decision, but it has been necessary since an adversary who Holsted requires that all riders are in absolute top form. "As it is currently, we can Slangerup not field a better team than what we put in on Wednesday - and I expect that it is good enough," says Henrik Rosendal. The match starts at. 18.30  Holdopstillinger: Keep Constructions: Holsted Speedway Klub Holsted Speedway Club Slangerup Speedway Klub Slangerup Speedway Club Nicki Pedersen   Greg Hancock   Martin Vaculik   Mikkel Michelsen   Przemyslaw Pawlicki   Grzegorz Zengota   Nicklas Porsing   Anton Rosen   Rasmus Jensen   Jesper V Kristiansen     Location: Holsted Speedway Center, Heather Road 1, 6670 Holsted  Should be a cracker. brandonbee48
Ummm! putting promoter's hat on....hey any Jablonski is a good Jablonski lol. I'm sure you saw Pawlicki's fall and "lie down" to get a re-run. It didn't seem like anything, though he was rubbing his wrist in the pits afterwards. Sometimes the most innocent looking slide-offs result in problems whilst we've seen them go helter skeltering down the straight with our stomachs churning and they bounce up as though nothing had happened.
