manchesterpaul
Ouch vicious crash hope they ok. Sometimes the tv should hold back on certain crashes until seen riders have moved. The last angle gave the impression of what i had first feared in that he hit his head on the track immediately. If was the case let's hope crash helmets do their job. Â He a tough nut he up. brandonbee48
That's just taken all the fun out of it. Nasty one and let's hope they are both okay.
iris123
Cheers for info, i was referring to the prolonged breaks in between races regarding Coventry.  You don't half travel far and wide to follow speedway much commended. Thanks.Have to, seeing as my local track(30 miles or so)only stages two or three meetings per season.Tried Longtrack a few times, but it didn't do anything for me.So it means travelling tothe old East Germany or over the border to Denmark.Missed the good times when there were big meetings at my local track or when there was a "European league" when Danish,Swedish and the one German team(Güstrow) rode in a league.... manchesterpaul
Am i reading the pictures wrong, both riders have returned to the pits haven't they? Why is the ambulance still there unless they are assisting in giving a helping hand with the air fence repairs. Â Uh oh i lost track of all that, i am doing a few other things while watching, he's on the stretcher. Â Ok meeting ending as big match starting that's neat. Next wednesday will be our next dose of Scandinavian action with no Elitserien. Enjoy your weather Alan and anyone else fortunate to have the same. MrMungo
Ambulance stayed at the track, so they don't think Randrup's injuries were serious. Â Meanwhile, Fjelsted surprisingly lost at home to Esbjerg by a couple of points, if I heard the commentators correctly.
brandonbee48
I still don't remember seeing Nicki get beat in these meetings. ( Could be forgetful, of course ) Thanks for the company everyone and wish you all the best. Alan.

iris123
Nicki goes sometimes years without being beaten at Holsted.Think i was there when Klindt was the first to beat him in a league meeting at Holsted in a 3 or 4 year period
HenryW
Meanwhile, Fjelsted surprisingly lost at home to Esbjerg by a couple of points, if I heard the commentators correctly. Yes, they did. The loss of Vissing hit the Fjelsted team quite hard. Palm Toft didn't deliver what Vissing would have. Went to a last heat decider, and Harris came past PK to clinch it for the visitors. No start girls at Fjelsted for Alan

arnieg
Just a small note added here.Over the weekend Denmark beat Sweden in two 80cc test matches. The first in Slangerup was 78-30.The second meeting the next day in Malmö wasn't quite so easy.Denmark won 71-36 Scorers from Slangerup:  Denmark 78 Martin Steen Hansen 13+2(max) Sam Jensen 13+2(max) Frederik Jakobsen 13+2(max) Jason Jorgensen 12+3(max) Andreas Lyager 8+1, Casper Olsen 8, Jonas Jensen 7+2, Emil Engstrom 4+1  Sweden 30 Johan Jensen 10 Filip Hjelmland 6 Kenny Wennerstam 5+1 Andreas Runesson 4 Alexander Johansson 2+1 Christoffer Selvin 2 Maksymillian Bogdanovich 1+1 Joel Kling 0  Johan Jensen (who won the Swedish 80cc championship 3 days earlier) was the only Swedish race winner, although Hjelmland was leading Hansen and Sam Jensen in ht 16 when his partner fell and the race was stopped.  I thought Frederik Jakobsen was the most impressive Dane.  Erik Gundersen was the Danish Team Manager  Danish scorers from Malmo (via Frederik Jakobsen's website): Sam Jensen 14+1(max) Andreas Lyager - 12+2 point Frederik Jakobsen - 12+2 point Casper Olsen - 11+1 point Jason Jørgensen - 8 point Martin Steen Jensen - 7+1 point Jonas Jensen - 4+3 point Emil Engstrøm - 3 point
iris123
Thanks Arnie.Casper Olsen, the mini Crump? Think it is him with his ginger hair and outfit almost identical to Jason. There are a number of impressive riders in the team.Young Jason is the one i find exciting. He really does attack the track and manages to pass riders.Of the Swedes i think i have only seen Wennerstam,so almost completely unknown to me.Hope it was an enjoyable meeting despite the one sided score line Edited June 14, 2012 by iris123
