Mk Knights Chris Strong In Ukranian Hospital

Recommended Posts

Chris Strong (MK Knights team manager (i think) ) was out in the Ukraine working with the USA Under 21 squad at the Under 21 World Team Cup Qualifier when he became unwell.

Towards the end of the meeting Chris found himself in need of medical attention and was rushed to hospital with a heart condition.

He is still in a Ukranian hospital but is feeling much better.

His wife Georgina finally spoke to Chris this morning after an agonizing 36 hours of struggling with language barriers.

We are hopeful that Chris will be home by the weekend after further tests tomorrow.

When the USA boys were collected from the airport last night it was clear that they all care for Chris very much and each one of them have asked to be kept up to date on Chris' progress, which naturally we will make sure happens.

Our thanks go to Richard Child (USA Under 21 Team Manager) who provided the essential link that Georgina, her family and the rest of the team here in the UK desperately needed.

And to Sergey, the track owner who has now taken over that role and is making sure Chris' needs are being taken care off in a country where they is a huge language barrier.

And finally to Chris Durno the referee for the meeting who went to see Chris in hospital before returning to England and offered his support.

We wish Chris well and hope he will be home with his family very very soon.
