TonyK39
To keep it 7 v 7 in a Challenge match, the Heathens will need 2 guests. Can we get Tim Webster (Roynon) and Paul Starke (Perry) to help us out ?
vog
I'm pretty sure Richie will be missing for Stoke, so I would assume McKinna will ride in his place! Still, 10 days before the meeting!
TonyK39
McKinna is in Stoke's declared 1-7, you will need someone else to replace Worrall. It's never too early to get your guests booked.

rhidassa
Wait a minute... I had on my calendar Isle of Wight were at Stoke this night for a NL fixture? I've probably just missed the press release, but how come this date was changed from a NL meeting to a challenge meeting (out of curiosity)? builderbob
i think stoke know they wouldnt have worrall, to late to redeclare with birks, so would only be allowed rr for worrall so a meaningless challenge is better than a nl defeat
Islander15
I understand why the under-21s should take precedence over a challenge, but why should a challenge take precedence over a league meeting? So if the u21s have been put back a week, then why not put Dudley & IOW back a week too? I see Stoke have no meeting on the 28th, it would make sense, or is that just it, far too simple! Well we have stock cars at Loomer Road on 28th April and we really want our pre-season challenges to be just that - pre season. Added to the fact that it meant Isle of Wight at Loomer Road twice in three weeks due to the official fixtures ignoring our Challenge on 31st March - our supporters deserve better variety. And nobody else has ridden a League fixture yet either. Nothing is as simple as it seems. Malcolm Vasey

That's fair enough, I was working on the basis that if Stoke weren't riding on uhe Saturday then the stadium wasn't being used. I just looked on the BSPA site which obviously doesn't mention stock cars. Have we got a new date then?
builderbob
what rubbish, if you had a full side you would not of droped the iow match, now you realize the iow are not going to be pushovers this year so you have tactally avoided them until your side has had some meetings under there belt
trophykid
I would imagine if the fixtures were arranged in another way, the same knockers would still moan on this forum. Stoke speedway isn't a conspiracy, relax people . I would imagine if the fixtures were arranged in another way, the same knockers would still moan on this forum. Baldy
what rubbish, if you had a full side you would not of droped the iow match, now you realize the iow are not going to be pushovers this year so you have tactally avoided them until your side has had some meetings under there belt I was having chat with a chat who thinks our sport is a joke in the first place but found it a real chuckle that some people think that we would even think of starting the season with a ride against a team(I.O.W)in the league and then go back to a "practice" match as he called it. Promoters have to fill the dates they have at their stadiums as best they can to make money but you should really finish your "pre season" before you start your season. Certainly I.O.W looked good at our place but I would not think that we should be running scared of anybody. Heathen1984
After tonights meeting, might give next week a miss now. Complete and utter farce, joke. Can only happen at stoke. Y do stoke fans even bother?

Y do stoke fans even bother? I knew i should of bet a tenner instead of a fiver. I said somebody would be on here to complain it was Stoke's fault tonight. There seemed to be a problem on 3rd and 4th bend but that was sorted with the track grade, then Malc Owen in particular was going around the track as fast as I have seen anybody for a good while. Yes there was loads of people off their bikes but how do you level that with the ones who were putting times in as good as some premier matches a few years back. I assure you 1965 or whatever you code name is that your total rubbishing of Stoke is starting to move from the laughable to the tedious.
