Success For Dragons At Last ! Next Up It's The Norfolk Arena

Recommended Posts

Dragons Amateur Speedway Club finally got their season underway with a cracking event at Sittingbourne.

Ross Walter came out top of the Club Class group cleverly doing what was neccessary in his final ride to take the winners trophy.

David Tutton and James Peters won the Intermediate pairs event after a closely contested A-Final with Stefan Kalisz and guest rider Adam Sheppard.

While in the Support Class Individual event it was an unblemished full house for Graham Knowler that took top spot on the rostrum. He was pushed all the way by one of our Ride n Slide stars Alec Wright who dropped only a single point to Knowler and took the Runners-Up spot, a superb effort in only his second competitive event. Third place on the day was filled by an returning Dragons favourite Dave 'the Perkolater' Perkins who finished on a total of thirteen points.

Rider of the Meeting was Chris Shallcross who rode out of his skin in the Intermediate Pairs and took some impressive scalps on his way to a more than creditable return, well done Shalks.

Our attentions now turn to Sunday 22nd April when we have another programmed event, this time its the Norfolk Arena, Kings Lynn with a 1pm start time.

The event is open to riders of all abilities and all sized machines. Also, we offer the chance to practice should you not wish to compete in the event, and go out between the heats.

To book a place at the above please contact Julie Tutton on 01633 858899/07920 002785

Entries close Sunday April 15th to don't miss out, come and have the 'Dragons Experience', you won't regret it !!!

See you on the 22nd, Russ
