I don't think anyone is accusing anyone of cheating. I don't think anyone would cheat but there can be some colourful interpretations of the rules and some creative team building, evidence of this was Scunthorpe who reshuffle after reshuffle ended up with SN at no. 8 a 5 point rider all very legal as he was the lowest ranking rider in the team and of course his average wouldn't count in the points limit. I would wonder why Adam is not a permanent fixture in the Potters rather than redeclare and redeclare as Ashley & Richie maybe absent quite a few times as there are a few Sat tracks in PL. Why would you have a no guests rule, in the league, except Res and No. 1 when clearly there are bonifiedy ways round these rules. (This is a genuine observation not an attack an anyone)

I refer you to MV's quote and who can blame him;

I was making an observation of creative team building and Scunthorpe was the only team I could think of as an example. Do you have a better one ????

 

Please don't be under any illusion that what Scunthorpe do or do not do keeps me awake at night because I have a life

After reading MV's post a bit earlier......can I ask in a very polite way about the re match? Are Dudley going to be allowed 2 guests on the 14th? Royno is with Workington & Fred should be with Somerset....so, to make things equal a la the home match when Stoke had a guest at #4 can we have an equal guest to Fred's declared average or do we have to run with R/R as NL Rules say?

Just a little thought as, after all, "it is only a Challenge Match" and does not really matter in the great scheme of things, as the fans will want a competitive match at Loomer Road like the excellent one we had at Monmore Wood

What a great idea Berniev, Yes i am all for that, after all we dont want a one sided un competitive meeting Do we? and as other posters have pointed out, it is ONLY a Challenge and doesnt really matter in the big picture.

 

Or perhaps another suggestion perhaps we could name an 8th rider to cover when Royno or Tom are unavailable, such as OUR hosts have done, maybe even re -declare with different riders for different meetings, after all it seems the rules are bent or stretched meeting after meeting, all in the name of competitivness. What are the rules on Loan signings?, perhaps we could even loan sign a rider for certain meetings.

 

You have to be careful when you start opening Cans, they may well contain Worms, possibly even Snakes, and as most of us know, they can come back and Bite you.

At the end of the day in challenge fixtures you can make your own rules and both clubs obviously agreed to them so go on you Heathens supporters have ago at your promotion for agreeing to the use of Oliver Greenwood who is a 3 point rider who replaced really strange this a 3 point rider WOW.

LOL. With Diesel at 1.50 ish per litre, entrance monies how much at Stoke this season ? thats the point, I wont pay to see an under strength Team, thats MY POINT, and it IS as pointed out MANY times a Challenge so i did my bit i went to the Home leg, but as is my perogative I wont be travelling up to Stoke, when money is tight.

I did not in anyway agree with the use of Oliver at #4 either! A Spitfire would have been a more logical choice for track time for a rider, not get one who is a pretty good 3 pointer from Scunthorpe! After all they train enough NL & PL riders of the future to stock the Stags in the NL and quite a few JL teams. Pity Dudley can't do that like they did way back in pre-history.

I actually alluded to the managements agreeing to the sides make up in a couple of other comments, perhaps the I of W & Dudley were too gentlemanly, didn't care, made up the rules as they went along....as you say they were only Challenge matches so who knows? I don't.

Challenge, League or cup match, its all about winning at the end of the day. Couldn't have put it better berniev123, maybe we could bring in Kyle Newman for Adam, that would be fair.

the bspa website has the 1st declarations as of 05/04/2012, why would these be incorrect?

the only 3 teams that have named a no 8 are iow kings lyn and scunthorpe
