So is it garbage because I have a view which is negative of your best buddy Nigel (I assume you named yourself after him), or is it garbage because I am wrong and all of what I said never happened? So as debates and replies to posts go, dare I say yours is utter garbage. What is garbage is that you feel the need to make the same posts again and again. I've lost count of the number of threads all with the same stuff. You must be due to start another one on the General Speedway discussion section with a title like 'Pearson must go!'. He may not be perfect but he does a decent job, speedway is an exciting sport, who do you want - John Virgo and Willie Thorne? i dont see why you and others get so uptight, its only a opinion a valid one.Things wont change so i dont even think about it anymore but Pearson is well rewarded so he isnt doing anybody a favour.In my opinion Newbon is in a different league but i suppose there are more important issues in speedway need addressing before this. Gemini Posted April 29, 2012 Report Share Posted April 29, 2012 I like Nigel and his commentary doesn't bother me one way or the other, but I am getting a bit fed up of him continually saying the fourth rider 'is trailing at the back' when often he isn't. Nah, a decent job is at least remembering to announce when we have a new World Champion on the GP coverage last season, he had not worked it out until a few minutes later he saw Hancock being bumped, and a couple of season before calling the rider with the most points as that GP winner, rather than the name of the final winner.,,, now that is a decent job. For someone who is a so called speedway expert he calls a fair bit wrong on the GPs.... so nope he is not decent..... 'average' maybe? 'woeful' yep. That said, he is a half decent presenter. Combined with a less screamy and shouty commentator would make Monday night viewing a tad more bearable. Who is better and show me a commentator who don't make mistakes...you can't can you I watch hours of other sports, and the commentators rarely make such massive mistakes in their relativesports as Pearson does, so actually I would argue that most other sports commentators are good at their jobs for their appropriate sports.
