Lovey
Full line-up is: Kevin Doolan (Ipswich), David Howe (Scunthorpe), Dakota North (Ipswich), Rohan Tungate (Ipswich), Jesper B Monberg (Peterborough), Cameron Heeps (Ipswich), Mat Tresarrieu (Ipswich), Ritchie Hawkins (Rye House), Olly Allen (Peterborough), Henning Bager (Coventry), Kevin Wolbert (King's Lynn), David Bellego (Berwick), Leigh Lanham (Rye House), Mark Lemon (Newcastle), Ryan Fisher (Plymouth) & Filip Sitera (King's Lynn). To clarify (someone is bound to ask otherwise): Standard 2012 admission prices, and season tickets are valid. NB: Howe and Monberg have been added to the field following the injuries to Poole and Risager. An interesting mix of riders for this event, which was brought forward to fill the gap in the fixture list caused by the withdrawal of Newport. Looks to be a good competitive field of riders and will take some winning. Lets hope for a crash free meeting with all the riders finishing in good shape. Even after hearing Chris Louis comments on the radio still none the wiser who he will sign to take Mortens place who I feel will not ride again this season. Think Taylors rides might well be taken by that dreaded R/R that cost us so dearly last season.

Mr Snackette
Just to point out filip sitera should say berwick . Lol I thought he doubled up for the Deedbeets! I must confess if I were trying to promote an individual meeting at Ipswich, I would be more inclined to list Sitera as a Kings Lynn rider, rather than for a team from the edge of beyond!! Lovey
I thought he doubled up for the Deedbeets! Indeed he does - didn't even cross my mind. Must change my programme notes! Shirley on the edge of beyond, rather than from
Icicle
Oi Snacky! Berwick is a great wee place with a great big track, that does not know whether it is Scottish or English (Berwick-Scots?? _Tweedmouth-English??)
Mr Snackette
Oi Snacky! Berwick is a great wee place with a great big track, that does not know whether it is Scottish or English (Berwick-Scots?? _Tweedmouth-English??) Certainly it has a big track, mind you I'm not sure how great it is!! In Robert Smith it has one of the best fish 'n chips located near a speedway stadium, and I reckon that "The Leaping Salmon" is one of the the better J D Wetherspoon pubs. As far as I was aware the whole of the town is in England, with the border some 5 miles up the A1. That said, in relation to Ipswich, it is the back of beyond, so F. Sitera (Kings Lynn) makes a lot sense.
Icicle
You may interpret the "great" (in track mode) either as great= very good,or great = size adjective..... Yes Berwick may be 5 miles into England..the locals don't think so!
ellioth4
I am updating this match tommorrow for speedway updates site. This will be a excellent meeting with lots of different riders competing including Mark Lemon from Newcastle. Updates are available on this link http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/ind....ead=9862&page=1 Edited March 21, 2012 by Elliot Hunt

tomcat
Will try to follow this via the Updates site, as cannot afford the entrance prices this week. Attended last weeks meeting, asked if the club did concessions for the disabled, from which point sheer comedy resulted. One man working the entrance said no, someone else said yes, first man says wait here while I find out, returns to say they would let us in as a concession this week, but not in future. All this after I had e-mailed someone from the club, via the website, to be told that Chris Louis would update the official club website with the disabled concessions added, well nearly a year on and I'm still waiting for the update. Could someone who is something to do with the Promotion please get together with the turnstyle staff, agree whether or not you do disabled concessions, then kindly inform us, the customer. I have yet to visit a track in the country that doesn't alllow concessions for the disabled, so Ipswich, if they are not doing so, will be amongst the only ones that don't want our money. Tracks visited that allowed one carer in for free & the disabled person in on a reduced entrance fee (as disabled people have a limited income too) and treated us with total respect are: Belle Vue, Lakeside, Kings Lynn, Coventry, Poole, Wolverhampton, Peterborough, Swindon, Reading (I know, now defunct), but they did allow it when they ran. I'm not listing every track, but you get the gist. Anyway, moan over and not expecting a positive result from this, so we will pick and choose when we go to meetings at Ipswich, which is a shame after 41 years of support. mickthemuppet
If I could lay on tonights Star Of Anglia I would go Leigh Lanham4/1 Mark Lemon7/1 Kevin Doohan 8/1 Mark Allen 9/1(Now Olly Allen) The snooker player has withdrawn Dakota North 10/1 David Howe 10/1 Rohan Turngate 12/1 JB Monberg 12/1 Ryan Fisher 16/1 Matt Tressarrieu 20/1 Kevin Woobert 25/1 Filip Sitera 25/1 Cameron Heeps 40/1 Henning Bager 40/1 David Bellego 50/1 Kevin Hawkins 100/1(should be Richie) I really am having trouble with my worms. They say three things go when you get old. One is memory but I cannot remember the other four Perhaps it would be a good idea they had betting on the Speedway tracks like they do at football grounds with multiple markets. I would love to . Perhaps I should just go over to Foxhall and put a board up. Lovey
David Howe a very worthy winner. Jolly fast after changing his gearing following a second place. Excellent chase and pass of Lanham in third ride and then a superb pass of Fisher in his fourth race. I said at the time that the Sky team would have been drooling at a such a hugh quality piece of speedway. When I spoke to Howe after the meeting, for Rerun Productions, he said it's one of the best passes he has ever made! One of those "admission money alone" moments, so I am happy to recommend you invest a small amount in the DVD from Rerun - even if you decide to view it on mute . Overall an enjoyable and entertaining evening, with some close racing.
