Guest Posted August 14, 2019 Report Share Posted August 14, 2019 (edited) The draw has been made for the Will Burns Memorial veterans Pairs meeting which will be staged at Glover Park, Leicester on Saturday August 31st. There will be 2 semi-finals with 8 pairs each with Semi-Final 1 starting at midday with the 2nd Semi-Final following straight after. Being in the Manchester league Mid-late 1960’s, I raced against Derek many times (losing the majority of them). A good team man who will have helped many younger riders to fulfil their ambitions, he was that sort of guy. A brilliant individual rider as well, must have won almost everything in his time.
