waco
Can someone explain to me how Robert Brandford being an aussie qualifies for this event....
tigerblues
Branford has an English mother and I read recently he has pledged his future to GB.
essexbloke
Rob's mother is English so he has dual nationality. He announced at the end of last year that he wished to be considered by Great Britain on the international stage rather than Australia. http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/north-east-sport/motorsport-news/redcar-bears/2011/11/23/robert-branford-back-with-the-redcar-bears-84229-29825974/

SCB
WOW - How weak? When Jerran Hart is your star man at junior level you know you have problems!

waco
With his early season form Richie Worrall must be hot favourite to win this meeting ..Jerran Hart with no team at present may be lacking race fitness,,hope the lad gets fixed up soon, young british riders should not be out of work when you look at some of the mediocre foriegners being preferred by misguided promoters...Its a disgrace....... jamebabes1
The two Dudley lads Ash and Tom have to be in with a chance on their own track.
greyhoundp
Ash Has as good chance as anyone, but can throw in the odd bad gate, Tom, well if Tom could put in 4 reasonable gates he would have a chance, but can he ?, and first Tom has to qualify from the Semi Finals at Stoke,Richie Worrall or Jason Garrity would be my idea of the Champ, with Jerran Hart as the spoiler, also we have the 2 Kyles Howarth who is flying at the moment, and Newman, so on second thoughts i wont make a choice except to say, the winner will come from those mentioned The format is 20 Heats, Semi Final and Final, with the Top 2 scorers going through to the final, and 3rd place thru to 6th place, riding in a semi final race off, with the first two going into the final with the top two scorers to contest the Championship race off, so there is room to put in a bad race, and still qualify, i reckon around 9 points will see you into the semi final.  Waco, its easy to get to the Track from the Britannia Hotel £29 on Booking.com in fact i am sure someone would even be kind enough to give you a lift, should you wish it, but if its a nice evening, i think it would be around a 20/25 minute walk from there maybe less. Super Blue
Jerran wasnt exactly burning up the track at Ipswich last year but on his day put in some very creditable perfomances [ Posting a time in one heat only a fraction of a second outside current track record ] Hope he finds a club soon as he does have potential ! Good luck to him at Dudley .
Parsloes 1928 nearly
Good luck to Jerran, heres hoping he shows a few promoters what they are missing. Â Absolutely, Jerran not riding in anyone's team says ALL that needs to be said about what's wrong with the sport..
waco
Absolutely, Jerran not riding in anyone's team says ALL that needs to be said about what's wrong with the sport.. It does make you think with the likes of Jakobsen at Sheffield ,, (Abismall so far.. ) ..Some promoters are not supporting British riders... JCookie
Yet Jakobsen has averaged as much, if not more, than Jerran Hart has ever averaged. He is the same level as Tomicek/Jakobsen and other 4/5 point foreign riders, some get signed, some don't.

The way to cut out mediocre foriegners is to bring them all in on a 7 point minimum average ,,then just maybe promoters would start using british riders instead...
Hel'n'Back
I think Jakobsen originally came in on a 7 point average for Stoke?
