barrow boy
4 teams of 4 riders = 16 races. Is this correct anyone?
barrow boy
Nice to see some of the world's top riders make the track look good. Freddie Lindgren, Kenneth Bjerre, Nicki pedersen, Michael Karlsson, Bjarne Pedersen etc certainly looked what they are especially when out in front but it did appear that when they were outgated even such class acts did not make much impression on those ahead of them. Hopefully Premier League standards will provide racing not riding.

Chrall
I completely agree with barrow boy, but I wonder if the riders missing the the gate wern't prepared to take too many risks at this stage ofthe season, especially in light of the recent injuries. I am sure that the premier league will provide better racing. It's a shame that the meeting finished early though.
Bagpuss
Early season 'friendlies' aren't usually the best meetings to judge racing quality. Hopefully the changes to the track will see improved action this season
scunny1
Good facilities, good line up, awful racing- 1 pass in 12 heats, thank God I have the EWR to enjoy every week. Â Nice to be approached by several Leicester fans asking how Tom Armstrong is after his bad crash on Friday night. stevebrum
Great to see a good line up turn out for Magnus. The trrack looked pretty well prepared but there was little passing. The constant drizzle may have made riders cautious so can be understood. Or of course it could be just that the track wasnt up for good racing last night. Â The general consensus last night appeared to be that there was little in the way of passing so therefore the track didnt allow it. Â For the Leicester and PL supporters it must have been great to see some of the top riders at their track. Â A Leicester group i stood with want PK to ride for them before he retires so they must have been delighted. Â Shame that rain stopped play in the end but at least 12 heats gave us some value for money. Â Bjarne gated well after a first race flop, Freddie looked pretty dominant till he lost to Bjarne, Sundstrom looked quick and provided one of the passes on the night. Nicki was nicki naturally. Â What a delight it was to see Mikael Max after what seems an age away from British rider. My favourite rider of all time looked off the pace in 2 heats but gated to a superb win over Kenny Bjerre. Â Good to see the Juniors given races too.
Skodaman
Not holding my breath imo the straights are to long for racing  The track cannot be blamed for the lack of passing; generally the riders were so strung out that they were not in a position to even try and pass. It was a poor meeting for a good speedway cause.  My other criticism of the meeting is that the referee did not keep the meeting going until he sniffed the rain. If he had used the 2 minute siren sooner, during the early part of the meeting and stopped Nermark showpoating, we may have seen the end of the main meeting.
