Bavarian
Why is the final with FOUR teams?
Danish Webmaster
Why is the final with FOUR teams? After the 56 home & away meetings the best four teams will meet in the Finale - a race with 23 heats with one rider from each team in every heat. The winner will get 4 matchpoint, runner up 3 matchpoint, 3rd will get 2 matchpoint and the looser will not get any matchpoint. The matchpoint will be adding to the matchpoint from the 56 meetings and the team with most point will be crowned as league champions. Not so sure about this idea, but i guess it might make some money for the clubs? And will it be held at a neutral venue or the track of the team with most points from the 56 meetings? Is a little strange to have a league with 6 man teams and pairs riding for 56 meetings, then a completely different format for one meeting. But this is speedway folks
Mama
Danish league teams consist of 5 riders! I think the same will be at this year league final. Just the heat format will change ...
Scunny Stag
Very strange to switch from pairs riding for the final. Please can someone remind me of what the team building rules are in Denmark?
iris123
Yes,sorry my mistake.I have been to enough DSL meetings to know that But it still stands....6 or 5 riders
Danish Webmaster
Very strange to switch from pairs riding for the final. Please can someone remind me of what the team building rules are in Denmark? There are 5 riders in the team for a race - every rider is grated as a A, B, C or D rider, where A counts 8, B counts 6, C counts 3 and D counts 1. The five riders have to be betwene 24 and 19 (max 1 A-rider and max 3 B-riders). This rule os for every meeting including the Final. The reason for the new 4-teams finale, is to make a big event and a possibility to have All teams together for a Price Cermony. The final will be held by the club leading the table after the 56 first meetings.

This is even weirder than anything the BSPA has as yet introduced for the British League. But wait, I can see this idea catching on in the UK, let's have it for the 2013 season! OMG, how can anyone take this sport serious any more.
