I have no problem with people who look at this differently to me, at the end of the day it is just an opinion and everybody is entitled to their own opinion whether we agree with it or not.

I agree with your sentiments . but it's done now and they have turned their backs on british speedway . what I think we should be concentrating on now is ensuring there's no repeat of Jason Crump syndrome in a few years by shutting down the commonwealth apprenticeship system we have been running for the last few years ,

I would appreciate a little help with this as I'm not sure I understand.

I see you edited that post. Is this the 'approved version' of what you actually posted in the first instance?

Anywho, this meeting and the Ben Fund look like getting the new season off to a flyer. :approve:

Seems abit obvious to me.

Step 1 - Ozzys come over, learn their trade by getting team places in the UK.

Step 2 - They then get signed by teams in Sweden and big money Poland.

Step 3 - Earn enough money in Europe

Step 4 - Get in the GPs

Step 5 - Dont bother racing the the UK

Jason Crump for one - that's why he's calling it the Jason Crump Syndrome. ;)

But he gave us many years enjoyment before deciding to end his illustrious career elsewhere didn't he. Why not pick on Greg Hancock, Andreas Jonsson, Nicki Pedersen and the like while you're at it but they are not Australians are they.

Who me? I'm not picking on anyone; just saying Speedibee was referring to Jason Crump. Personally I couldn't care less who rides where.

Jonsson didn't really learn their trade over here like Crump and Hancock did. That said I personally don't blame top riders for giving up the UK, there are too many meetings on too many different days.

*and Pedersen
