f-s-p
East vs West Pori (PMK) 150912 A good meeting I'm told yesterday at Pori. Katajisto withdrewing at the last minute was a huge disappointment, but the meeting itself probably turned better because of it. West was leading before the last heat but first Lehtonen was excluded and in the rerun Partanen took a fall from the lead on the last lap handing a 5-0 for East. Apparently this was a success and will be kept again next year. This was introduced to replace the best pairs, after the federation decided it was not worthy of a Finnish Championship status. f-s-p
23. Speedwayn U21 SM-finaali Pori (PMK) 16.9.2012 Timo Lahti was crowned champion at Pori today. He had to pass Mika Loppi on the last bend of the final heat to take it, but he did it. This complete's his hatrick of winning the league and both individual titles this season. No one has done it and he was only a few weeks older than the youngest ever Finnish individual champion Juha Moksunen when he won at Seinäjoki. f-s-p
The story goes that his bikes packed up in Sweden in the Allsvenskan finals and he drove home from the ferry. Let's stick to that. It would have been a really good meeting with him in it though! Lahti, Loppi, Siltaniemi and him were/are all good enough to win it. But I'm also told it was good without him, so we'll leave it at that.

Ghostwalker
The story goes that his bikes packed up in Sweden in the Allsvenskan finals and he drove home from the ferry. Let's stick to that. I was on scene in Hallstavik for that meeting and one of his bikes did pack up. Kalle was at the start line for heat 11 when he suddenly pulled back from the tapes and pushed the bike onto the center green. From where i was standing it was quite obvious that Kalle wasn't particular happy judging by his body language. It took a "long" time before he he manages to get back onto the track but he did manage to prevent a 2min exclusion and went on to win the the heat with 5-1 together with Engman. f-s-p
Following previous sequences, it should be Finland's turn to stage the Nordic U21 speedway title this year, - ? You mean should have been. We had no air fence so the world's quali was given away. Also the nordic co-operation/nordic final system is most likely scrapped and never to return. The same with UEM, actually no places were even asked in the U21 Euros.
arnieg
Is there a Kaupunki Cup result missing? All the sites with info on the Kaup Cup, including this thread, seem to have details of 7 meetings, but the final league table implies that there were 8 meetings. The fixture list at the start of the thread suggests that there should have been a meeting in mid August?

f-s-p
He's been as good as ever, best points scorer in the Finnish league this season and made Timo Lahti look like a novice a couple of times. Put on a decent show for Rospiggarna as well. Show him the money, he'll be there. Almost was too late this season.
