BigFatDave
Interesting happenings last bnight with far-reaching consequences for Australian and World Speedway. half-way through heat 7 going into turn 3 lap two Sean McLellan hit the ground (and Brenton!) hard - broken collarbone, Brenton Barnfield; Kayoed in the incident - concussion, being kept in for observation. To my knowledge under NSW OH & S laws any life-threatening incident has to be reported to Police; after the ambulances had returned from taking the lads to Maitland Hospital we had another full round then the Cavalry arrived - a Three-pipper Dickless Tracy and her cohorts no less - that's a divisional commander, all the way from Newcastle. After viewing video and photostream evidence of the coming together it was decided that the meeting could continue, to the great relief of organisers, competitors and spectators alike. In NSW Tracks are governed by the Sport & Recreation dept, whereas in the other states it's down to MA to inspect tracks.
