kennylane
I think we may have seen the last of the talented Lee Strudwick on speedway. There's a driver of that name (one of 140 starters) listed for banger races at Wimbledon Stadium on Sunday (December 4) according to the Spedeworth Motorsports site. Does anyone know if it is the same person?

Dosen't mean he's given up the sport of speedway!!After all its not good weather at the moment to go sliding a bike around a cinder track! 500cc
Lee Strudwick probably spent more time on the Wimbledon Stock Car track than virtually any other rider in the 2002-2005 Wimbledon Speedway era.

Surely that "honour" goes to Tommy Allen? Seven rides and seven trips through the fence I seem to remember!!
Wayne 1971
What ever happened to Tommy Allen? Seemed to me with Tommy's brave heart attitude he would have become a top British talent one day. Sad if he's given the sport up?
500cc
Surely that "honour" goes to Tommy Allen? Seven rides and seven trips through the fence I seem to remember!! In fairness to Allen, he didn't realise Wimbledon was an anti-clockwise track so wasn't expecting a left turn at the first bend !!! I don't actually remember Lee Strudwick ever falling. I was actually referring to the fact that he and cousin Niall were regular second-halvers at Plough Lane and their 'pits' area was on the stock-car track. I'll get my coat !!!
