stonemanracing19
Montie lets get 1 thing straight before you go blabbing off, please remind me what the NL is for? Youngsters and to learn! Correct? Funding is not great in this league, I have never had a full season to improve, I have a lot of help this year and I feel it will be my Break through season, because for 1 I have a mechanic that knows what he is doing, do you have a clue what goes on behind the crowd when it comes to riders and bikes?? A lot of hard work and commitment. Im not having someone like yourself sl****g me off, thank you.

villiers210
Â Â No idea what happened. Went pop. I can only hope that this is finally the catalyst for going back to mains power. Me too. How long do they need to get this problem sorted? I fully understand that no speedway promoter is making much money out of speedway these days, but I shudder to think what would have happened if it had been a close race an hour later in total darkness. Promoters have got to understand that rider safety is paramount and this is just not acceptable. Track of the year 2011? Whatever.

villiers210
Yes it did. Trouble is, this isn't the first time it's happened. Or the second. Or the third............

greyhoundp
So, when may we expect to see Stoke track there declared 7 ?, ie Olly Greenwood is better than Rhys Naylor, so will we be seing Olly in Stoke colours every time Scunny arent riding ? or am i just being dubious minded. . Yes i know its within the rules, but is it in the spirit of them ? There are riders out there on 3.00 averages desperate to gain rides and experience, but NO we will go with another Teams rider, Even for challenge matches, Mr Vasey stated there were some decent prospects coming through, surely Challenge matches is the way to give them track time. John Leslie
Have the NL rules changed this year regarding guests? Â I know up to last year it was guests only for a missing No.1 Â How have Stoke been allowed to use a guest for a missing lower order rider? I really don't understand this, surely Stoke cannot use Scunny's Ollie Greenwood. ( thats stupid ) he belongs to one team or the other. Its bad enough with teams having to use guests and R/R, for gods sake don't let this become a reality as new youngsters will never get started. Please dont let this happen just when we seem to be getting youngsters on the ladder!. This annoys me. I'm waiting to see Stokes 1 to 7 names also. In this weeks speedway star they have a starting team averaging 40.88?
greyhoundp
This is taken from the Dudley site, and they have Oliver Greenwood down to ride tonight as Stoke No4, http://www.dudleyhea....php?extend.492 Im not sure how it works, yes you can use a guest for a No1, but as i understood it you used to be able to use an unattached or 3 point rider to cover injuries to others, but by signing an injured rider, and then covering him with another of supposedly equal ability, does leave the system open ??. Â But with this use of Olly Greenwood plus the addition of Adam Mckinna to the "squad?" the rules seem to be being stretched somewhat, but hey this is Speedway, and what goes around comes around. June
Well I dont believe it!...Stoke you theiving lot! Must say thats put me off the N/L ...Its bad enough trying to get with this midland developement league in half time. How do you expect fans to get behind teams. When riders are all over the place.? RUBBISH!..........Are we to believe then that all N/L teams can operate a squad of riders? How come fans aren't told of any new rules, thats the least we expect. ! jamebabes1
Dudley should put their foot down and not allow this if its against the rules, but if that's they only way Stoke think they have a chance, bring it on. Dudley will win regardless if the meeting goes ahead as its raining quite heavy at the moment.

greyhoundp
Its a challange  Yes, so why NOT use an unattached rider ?
builderbob
lets not knock stoke too hard. they need a winning team. so they need to be above the average limit, they need a squad system so they are never at a diss advantage, and whilst we are at it; lets have guests for any of our riders. why is this cheating nessasary. they need to draw the crowds so they can afford to come into the 21st century, and aquire that new safety item. electricity
