Stoke 2012

So, Stoke are running NL again next year, and have made their first signing

Richie Worrall joins on a 7.75 average, and Tim Webster and James Sarjeant have both been told they won't be required at Stoke next year.

Richie should be a good signing for us!

Richie will be a great signing. Good start to Team building by the Potters.

Did I hear u made Webster an asset of yours then tell him he ain't needed, oh great work that is

Looks like it. Feel sorry for Tim, but we get a loan fee and I would assume that if we are to move back to the PL soon, he will move up with us.

I don't believe it is a very nice way to treat Tim, he did nothing to deserve what is effectively a sacking, he improved his average over the year but suffered some dismal luck including some crashes that were not his fault at all.

I sincerely hope that Tim shows Stoke what a good man they have passed over next season and rubs their faces in the dirt.

James Sarjeant is a brilliant young talent who may well make a world class rider if he is mentored correctly and supported properly, but he too has a part to play in that career path, he may sometimes not do himself any favours in my opinion. It would be great if he too showed Stoke what a good man they have decided to do without.

To be fair to Stoke they had great success last year which means they had to shed points, and seems Webster is the one to miss out, thats speedway!!!

Unfortunately, that's pretty much what seems to have happened. I loved Tim last year, and hope that if we do move to the PL, he would join us on a 3, but his average is high when compared to others, and it is an averages game. Richie Worrall on 7.75 represents, to me, better value than Tim. In an ideal world we would have both, but I trust Malcolm in his team building.

I hope you are right. We came so close to winning things last season, it would be a shame to find ourselves languishing towards the lower end of the table this season. Hopefully we can go one step further this year and win something!

How much did Sheffield win last season? Nothing?

How much did Stoke win last season? NL Pairs...

1-0 my friend.

And we even used a Sheffield rider to do it. At least he got success at a proper club ;)
