Well it seems The Heathens are already planning for 2012, according to the website riders who are NOT guaranteed a Team place for next year have been informed, that they may look for another team, amongst those informed were Danny Stoneman who received a text  informing him his services were not required in 2012, good luck Spike wherever you end up.

Danny deserved more than a text, if thats true then the Heathens promotion should be ashamed especially as their "Chairman" is in the communications/media business.

Disgusting

Why should they be ashamed they didn t have to tell him anything only riders they need to talk to is there own assets and club/riders they want to use. As you should know 28 days after last match they all go back to there parent club some clubs don t tell lads they don t want them and to start looking elsewhere as not there problem.

  • 2 weeks later...

Good to see Adam fixed up and hopefully he'll have an injury free season for once. Now I have nothing against Adam as he's an asset to the NL but my understanding was last season you couldn't ride in the NL if you had a PLspot at the start of the season and you averaged more than 4 in the PL. Adam has a spot at Workington on a 4.5 average for next season. As the NL AGM hasn't been held yet, how do Dudley know the rules are to be changed for next season? Or have I got something wrong here? ;)

The ruling was changed before the 2011 season - riders with a PL average of 5 cannot ride in the NL these days. Doesnt answer the question you asked about rule changes for next season though, unless some of the rules have already been agreed for 2012 prior to the AGM.

Cheers for the info mate :drink:

All league's have a pre-AGM where all but dotting the i's and crossing the t's should be sorted. It's only when someone moves the goalposts behind your back that there's a problem. Fortunately, despite a few spats the NL doesn't seem to suffer the same in-fighting seen elsewhere. I suspect all clubs know where they stand with regard to rules for next season.

-----------------------

So we have Adam and Darryl signed with another to be announced soon.

Tom has posted on FB that he has one team sorted for next year, and just one more to sort out now. Hmm... :D

Let's call a spade a spade it would be a big shock if Tom and Ash weren't back with the Heathens in 2012.

Roynon

Morris

Perry

Ritchings

That would be a good start that would make many a Heathen happy. I expect at least a couple of new faces next season. Call it gut instinct.

I'll be honest - I'm not convinced about Bekker at all. I could be completely wrong but I can only comment on what I've seen myself and I'm not sure he's going to make a big step up. He gets my support while he's wearing a Heathens race jacket. So c'mon Boris make me come back in about 10 months time and admit I was wrong.:lol:

I am of the same opinion as you 21st, but i guess the attraction is that he is expected to improve on his current average, and he can gate which we need, a steady rather than spectacular rider, but i think this signing counts out my hoped for signing of either Jake Anderson or Paul Starke, unless one of the two in aussie land dont re-sign. That second reserve spot signing is looking all the more important now.

So was 'Fred'. :lol::P

Good luck to Bryon hope he get many years hate seeing riders having to move every year.

Yes, it seems the days of one-club career riders is behind us. The points limit is just too low for more than the odd few riders to stay put.

Regardless of anything else, its obvious that with a 40 point restriction, you have to field as many riders as possible who are capable of upping their averages. Not much else matters really, and at 6.5 points, Byron is well worth a punt in my book.

There again, I am just slightly biased as I have been a huuuuge fan of his for the past 2 years.

Welcome Byron and 'Ommer 'Um
