jhproductions
I see that there is a one week break in the Polish league schedule the day after the Leszno GP, therefore just wondering if anyone (maybe our Polish contingent?) know/think that there will be some sort of open meeting on anywhere in Poland? I see that there is an U21 Qualifier in Germany that date, but surely that wouldn't affect some sort of meeting? Any thoughts?
Fingersfin
Gutted that there are no meetings after the GP, has put the kibosh on me going this year. I have been to Leszno a couple of times now and I have gotten greedy for two meetings during my Polish speedway weekend.
Blazeaway
Is it just the Extraliga that has a break or all league speedway?
HenryW
The lower leagues are all showing a blank weekend in their fixtures too.
A ORLOV
Gutted that there are no meetings after the GP, has put the kibosh on me going this year. I have been to Leszno a couple of times now and I have gotten greedy for two meetings during my Polish speedway weekend. Same here it was an eye opening experience going to a league meeting the next day. We joined the supporters on the train and at the station we ended up at we could not believe what the supporters were met with. Riot police with batons and dogs who escorted the supporters to the stadium and kept them in their own area. We were able to go in a different direction and have a drink etc as upon seeing the police we had taken off our English supporters attire. There was no trouble at the ground but the supporters were kept out of the bars in the town by being escorted both ways. But must agree two meetings in two days made the weekend. New Science
I think this is a bit of an own goal by the Polish Authorities,as Sundays in Poland are quiet most fans travelling abroad look forward to taking in a league match on Sunday.I can maybe see the thinking of not running the top division as not to distract or affect the attendance of the G.P but there doesn't seem any reason while the 2 lower divisions should not run. Robcozz
Can anyone tell me the best way to get to Lipno, where we are staying at Hotel 1 2 3 for the weekend, from Poznan Airport ? Arriving on Friday afternoon from Stanstead. Taxi, Bus, Train ? There is 5 of us going. The train timetable I can find says around 3 hours travel, it's only about 66km ? Thanks in advance. Are you sure you are checking the train schedules for the correct Lipno? There is a town called Lipno that is South East of Torun, about 200KM from Poznan. It sounds like you might be getting train times for that, rather than the one that is just North of Leszno. Edit - I meant to say that a quick check on the train schedules suggests that you want "Lipno Nowe", which would take about 1hr 5minutes from Poznan Glowny train station. It's the last stop before Leszno on that route. Edited April 23, 2012 by HenryW

You have train from Poznan Główny at 4:45 pm in Lipno at 5:53 pm next 5:45 pm in Lipno at 6:56 pm and next 6:40 pm in Lipno at 7:54 pm Trains direction Leszno or Wroclaw in timetables at station. From hotel you can take or book taxi to Leszno. In day should cost about 30-40 zlotys (6-8 pounds) If you will need more info or help I can leave you my polish mobile number.
