FULL DETAILS

On Friday the 4th November at 7.30pm at the Scunthorpe Eddie Wright Raceway Billabong Bar. We are holding a celebration night with members of the Saints/Prowlers Team.

We will be showing the DVD of the Mildenhall meeting and living the fantastic moment when they lifted the cup, we will re-live the drama with Stuart and Rebecca and the available Saints/Prowlers of the closest title decider in national league history!!

Where we put Scunthorpe/Sheffiled Speedway on the map once again! . We will also be providing nibbles. An auction will take place afterwards as will a raffle.

Here we can also have open discussion about the success of the Saints/Prowlers this year and any possible ideas on how we can continue into 2012 (if at all possible)

Please come along and be a part of this memorable evening, let the Saints/Prowlers and BOTH SETS OF PROMOTIONS know how much we value them as a club!!!

Have either promotion as yet made any statement regarding 2012

Rob made comments in the local paper -

but it sounds a bit more promising now -

Scunny have always been considered one of the stalwarts for bringing on young british talent ,it would be agreat loss if they dont run in the National League next season.....

Yes, an excellent reassessment of the situation.

In the first report if the Saints don't run, it's because Rob Godfrey pulled the plug.

In the second report if the Saints don't run, it's because Rob Godfrey couldn't persuade Neil Machin to continue.

Putting it another way Godfrey does say it is easier to find foreign riders of a higher standard, without the hassles and financial burden of running an NL team.

The only problem i can see there being is enough SPACE to get everyone into the bar!!! Wont be room to move let alone get everyone in if THAT many people shhow haha. But i know the more people the better. There gonna be a gazebo out side maybe to keep us warm if we have to "expand"? lol.

Amen to the "more the merries". I just dont wanna freeze to death having to stand outside coz of no space inside! lol. I want the Saints back as much as anyone. I have friends in the NL and with Newport already not running a NL team and us considing not doing it to. Its putting a serious dint in the NL! And Scunny have always been so good with bringing youngsters through. Which is why we need to keep the team running. :D

A fantastic turn out - and a very good night - the Q&A session with Neil and Rob was very much the highlight

Upshot is - the team is in the balance - dependant on AGM and NL meeting in Jan - though the signs were positive

One note - Stuart Parnaby declared that if they run - the first agreed signing is ............. Oliver Greenwood - they shookhands on the announcement - so hopefully Neil goes to Oz and has a good rest and he and Rob can get it on in 2012

i would personally like to thank Julie for all her help, the fans for a good turn out, the Wrathalls for coming en masse, the Parnabys for 2011 and their absolute devotion to the cause,John for the auction,Gary for the technology and Rob and Neil for their honesty and integrity

Long live the SCUNFIELD Saints/Prowlers
