Which would indicate that live streaming on the internet has had a VERY positive effect Where it matters . At the gate! With presumably an increase in concession sales, programmes, souvenir sales. Great news and roll on the start of the new season.

Best wishes. Alan.

Yeah i agree but i also would like to claim that two new teams (Smederna and Gnistorna) as well as the guestrider system are two

other factors that have contributed to the increase of the spectator sizes.

Well, not in this house it didn't  . Since this old fart single handedly keeps the CD companies in business to the chagrin of my "downloadin" 17 year old. I recall our friend Ghostwalker saying there was initial opposition to the live streaming from the clubs but the attendances soon reassured them.

Until we get "Smellovision" i would much rather be there, but the cost from 3 thousand miles away is a tad prohibative  Super Polski Sundays are almost here!!!! Take care. Alan.

as preparation for the upcoming season, Smedernas track have been graded down little bit by a "laser guided" grader.

As smooth as Kenni Larsen's gating! Roll on the end of the month.

Regards. Alan.

Dackarna says that they will bring in one more rider when the transfer windows opens (April 16th–24th).

No name have been mentioned but rumours are that its Bjarne P and Tai W that they are interested in.

Vargarna is also rumoured to make some changes in the transfer window.

There where supposed to have been an Allsvenskan pair meeting in early May.

However since Örnarna have declined participation and since Gnistorna haven't even replied,

it seems that the pair meeting have to be scrapped.

Possibly there might an individual competition instead.

Valsarna have signed Robert Kosciecha while Smederna after some discussion and negotiation decided not

to sign David Ruud. Imo Smederna did the right thing since it would be very unfair to kick one of the younger

riders out just before the season starts.

Firstly thanks for the very good & informative opening post, and keeping us updated ghostwalker.

If a new foreign rider starts over here then they get an assessed average, I was wondering if that was the same in Sweden?

It depends from which country the riders comes from and in what league he rides in, in his/hers home country (home league).

For Swedish Elitserien average the following applies:

If the riders home league is Extralliga (Polish riders) or Elit league (British, Australian and NZ rider)

they will get the same average as they have in their home league.

If the riders home league is Polish Liga 1, Danish Superleague or Czech Extraliga the riders will get

the average from their home league multiplied with 0,7.

If the home league is British Premier League the rider will have their home league averages*0,6

For Polish Liga II, German Bundesliga, Czech div. 1, Russian first league, Ukrainian league its their

home league average*0,5

For all other leagues its home league average*0,4.

However the initial starting average for non-Swedish riders, can never be lower then 1,250 (5.00),

For Allsvenskan and Swedish Div1 the averages will be recalculated with the standard formulas.

These formulas are:

Current average divided by 0,75 + 0,667 for conversion to nearest lower series (like from Elitserien to AS or from AS to Div1).

Current average multiplied by 0,75 – 0,500 conversion to nearest higher series series (like from Div1 to AS or from AS to Elitserien).
