racers and royals
Nope. It will be quarter finals, semi finals and finals Tony Olsson says that he, Svemo and the clubs want to have the qf and sf run back to back, mon-tue or tue-wed. Howver he says that they will need to talk to the English and Danish league first to see if those leagues are willing to give up a day for the Swedish championship cup. Finals are likely to be held during the same period of time as the last couple of years, which means tue-wed the week after the Stockholm GP. http://www.dagensvimmerby.se/sport/speedway/e/9247/klart-speedwayens-sm-slutspel-forandras/ Hope it's not genuine quarter finals ie 8 teams- would make the 14 league match season pretty meaningless !!!!Hope its top 2 seeded to semi and 3,4,5 and 6 meet in QF

Ghostwalker
Is it true that Indianerna wont race in 2017 because of bankruptcy? Don't know yet. f-s-p
Is it true that Indianerna wont race in 2017 because of bankruptcy? Don't know yet. They were supposed to have had sponsor meetings but these have been postponed for some reason. I think Tony Olsson said it pretty clear in Nerikens Allahanda that Indianerna are out from Elitserien and can only race in 1st division in 2017. This has put a cloud over Team Finland's 2017 in 1st division, as they were in line for a Place for weeks, until a 12th team enlisted during the very last few possible days. Now if Indianerna cant do even 1st division, Team Finland is back in.

The current situation is that the previous board members (in Indianerna speedway AB) have resigned leaving the board with only one member. There are sponsors who claims that they are willing to help Indianerna financially but since there only is one board member, no sponsor agreement can be signed since that requires a minimum of three board members. The latest is that they sponsor meetings won't happen until after x-mas and new year though. Edited December 11, 2016 by Ghostwalker

That basically means that Indianerna will ride as a club in div 1, but dont mean anything regarding Elitserien.
Ghostwalker
according to the article linked blow, it seems that there are no regulations that would prevent Indianerna from participating in Elitserien next season. However that requires them to sign a contract/agreement with Svemo which means that Indianerna accepts to enter a control year. If Indianerna still have debts next autumn, they will be evicted from Elitserien. The question is still how Indianerna is supposed to sign anything when they don't have enough board members? http://www.na.se/motor/speedway/na-avslojar-indianerna-tvingas-till-kontrollar
Ghostwalker
Smederna have signed Andrejs Lebedevs as a back up (not part of the registered squad) in case of injuries. http://eskilstunasmederna.se/lebedevs-klar-som-back-up/ It seems Indianerna have managed to find an extra board member that will allow them to sign contracts with sponsors and such. However it isn't formally official yet since bolagsverket needs to formalize it, which is expected to take place early next week. http://www.na.se/motor/speedway/na-avslojar-han-ar-nye-styrelseledamoten-som-kan-radda-indianerna-jobbar-pa-som-fan

Ghostwalker
It has been decided that Norwegian and Finnish riders will be allowed to ride in Div-1 in the uupcoming season. The Norwegian riders will be registered with Hagfors (Valsarna) while the Finnish riders will be registered with Rospiggarna. The riders (like all div-1 riders) can be loaned by the other teams. http://www.svemo.se/ImageVaultFiles/id_12598/cf_44/Beslutsprotokoll_13_Track_Racing_2016.PDF

STEPHEN 333
Does this now mean that Niels will be able to now ride in Poland, Denmark and the UK, instead of Sweden/Denmark and Poland ???
