According to the official fixture calendar at Svemo.se/Speedway (see link above) the semis are split over two weeks. Also the pdf link in my previous link does not work, use this one instead: https://www.mediafire.com/?yw29i65b2xs69ez Edited August 18, 2014 by Ghostwalker

Super news and joy in the streets of Eskilstuna. Ghostwalker beams. All the best. Alan. Well good news but not good enough as the moving of the GP from Riga to Daguavpils meant that his planned practice session had to be cancelled and therefore he don't feel ready enough to do a meeting yet. So he will only be able to ride in the Semifinals. Kenni will most likely ride though, he has an appointment today so if he will be given the green light he will ride tomorrow. brandonbee48
An interview with Vargarna's team manager: http://nt.se/sport/jansson-det-har-beslutet-ar-fel-10076028.aspx Even though I read it in "goggle translation" it still comes across as a very strange decision. It seems to be -"If we got into the playoffs, we couldn't afford it." Surely the gate from their leg would have covered their outgoings? For the rerun with Smederna they would just have had to pay their riders, I would think. The murky world of speedway. Bumper gate next week in Eskilstuna and I don't care if I have to watch it in Polish. Regards. Alan.

Alan.Sadly I don`t think you will be watching Smederna next week at all- Cmore are showing Dackarna v Indianerna on their main channel with the Smederna match on C more extreme. We will be watching the Dackarna match if British Eurosport keep their promise to show it on delayed live later that evening.Sadly for the rest of Europe they are not showing it at all.I have already asked my favourite streamer to show the C more sport coverage on Tuesday-whether they will remains to be seen. Ghostwalker
Krzysztof Buczkowski who crashed a while back have been replaced by Rune Holta accordingly to the rule about replacing a longtime injured rider. http://www.dackarna.nu/sv/nyheter/nyheter/e/5007/rune-holta-ersatter-buczkowski/ Nicki Pedersen is also injured but since he is expected to be absent for less then 28 days Dackarna can not replace him and will probably use R/R for him. Ghostwalker
Vargarna gets another loan from Torsten Sahlin and Vargarna will take a decision within 2-3 weeks whether they will remain in Elitserien or not. If they decide to step sown to Allsvenskan, Västervik will be offered their place in Elitserien. http://www.nt.se/sport/sahlin-raddar-vargarna-skanker-900-000-10087205.aspx
Ghostwalker
Lineups have been declared for Tuesday's quarter finals: http://www.svemo.se/sv/Grenar/Speedway/Elitserien2014/ Dackarna will have to use R/R for Nicki and then Holta will replace Buzckowski. The other teams are expected to have full strength teams. I will make a proper play off thread but it won't be up until tomorrow. -- More info about Vargarna: http://www.vargarnaspeedway.se/medlemsmoten/medlemmar-i-vargarna-speedway/

Ghostwalker
I have only found out recently that Dennis jonsson is Per`s son I hadn't even heard about him until a few weeks ago. -------------- http://sverigesradio.se/sida/artikel.aspx?programid=179&artikel=5950511 Former team manager Tommy Rander who have been on a collision course with Svemo since his team Kaparna were denied an elite licensee about 10 years ago. He have been appointed by the Swedish clubs to investigate the future of the governing of Swedish speedway. Hardly surprising he has decided that the best alternative is to copy the organisation from British Speedway with the clubs still being under Svemo (SCB) but with a much larger indecency (BSPA). You gotta wonder why he is such a fan of the British model? Everyone can see what the status of British Speedway is and I fail to understand why anyone would like to have the same system in Swedish speedway? Clubs want more influence but they already have influence. Many of the league specific rules are requests from clubs. Like the current R/R rule which was changed from the top 2 riders (decided by rolling average) per line-up to top 5 riders per lineup. Imo Swedish clubs have a very short term thinking. They want what is best for their own team at the moment regardless if this is good or bad for their team and the sport in a more longer term. So IMO the clubs can not be trusted with the future of Swedish speedway.

Double point jokers anyone? Overall Swedish speedway is in reasonably good shape. Leave well alone!! Regards. Alan.
