Swedish 2021 Season (info on 1st page with signings, rules and etc).

That is a good questions, I don't know and I haven't seen anything more specific about it.

Thought it was a good question as well, as I "create" news from/for Finnish speedway, and the papers dont actually care, let alone pay for them...:rofl:

I am not sure but maybe you are confusing it with Gubbängen where they hosted an open meeting before the 2013 GP?

The tracks are located at the opposite end of the city:

No confusion Ghostie. As you say the tracks are at opposite ends of the city and the Hammarby meeting was actually the night before the 2013 SGP. The less said about 2014 the better though! Anyway the meeting at Veddestavallen started at 11am on the day of the Stockholm SGP in 2013. I nearly went but didn't think I would get there in time from Skavsta airport on the Saturday morning. Others I know did chance it and missed a few races.

Check out the Svemo calendar as it is on again this year on the day of the SGP of course and at 11am again!

The tv-expert and former team manager Morgan Andersson have been appointed as the new National team manager.

He will handle the picks and coaching in SWC and SBP, nominating riders for SGP and SEC qualification/wild cards and etc.

He have formerly been team manage for Västervik, Smederna and Dackarna and have also for many years worked

as one of the two experts in Canal+'s and Cmore's Elitserien broadcasts.

A whole bunch of Swedish riders were on a training camp in Gorican the past weekend.

They were invited by the Svemo and the new team manager for the national team, who also was present.

Some photos can be found on the Croatian speedway federations facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Speedway.Club.UNIA

I have also added some pre-season fixtures to reply 5.

Ghostwalker is there speedway on at Eskinstuna around the date of June 4th?

Not on June 4th, the nearest on that day is Vargarna – Örnarna in Norrköping but that is over 100km away.

The only fixture that week in Eskilstuna is on June 7th when there is a Elit-B meeting at Eskilstuna speedway track.

The track is located some 12km outside the city though so you'll need a car to get there.

A new old (nygammal) Swedish speedway club might (and that's a big might) make a return to the speedway scene.

It is the clubs known as Saxarna which ceased their activities in 1949 since they no longer were allowed to use the football arena to host their tracks.

Anyway the past couple a weeks their have been some very informal proposals to bring this old club back to life.

There will be a meeting at the end of April where anyone who interested can show up and discuss the future.

They have no track but apparently when the closed in 1949 the city signed a contract in which they obliged to

fund a new track if Saxarna ever would re-start their club.

Has the Speedway Star got the play off dates between the Elite League and the Allsvenskan League mixed up?

They are opposite to what has been posted earlier on this thread.

Definitely wrong-Elite are certainly Tuesday`s. Allsvenskan Thursday`s

I don't read the speedway star but all fixtures are listed here:

http://www.svemo.se/sv/Grenar/Speedway/Tavling/Tavlingskalender/

As RR says, the Elitserien semi finals are on Tuesdays and the final is Tuesday/Wednesday.

Allsvenskan is Thursdays with the final on Thursday/Friday.

Hi Ghostie, the Allsvenskan final looks to be on consecutive Thursday`s 17th and 24 th September.

As I have mentioned before, the speedway in Borås have awoken from over a half a century long sleep.

The idea of re-starting the team called Saxarna have been met with great interest from people in the Borås area to that extent that it has been decided that

a start-it-up meeting will be held at April 28th where the idea is that the team officially will be started up again.
