iris123
I've given the source, if you want to suggest different figures please do quoting your sources. Niamh Just look at some of the figures quoted. If Ryan is earning that much,do you think Nicki is earning less when he rides in more leagues and also the GPs?The past few years figures for Poland have been quoted on here from Polish sources. Can't be bothered for the sake of your non believing to search through years of qoutes for them. But i do seem to remember some problem with Rune Holta led to the top earners being posted on here
HenryW
I've given the source, if you want to suggest different figures please do quoting your sources. I haven't seen a list published for this year yet, I guess it's too early for that. However, this link contains the top earners in Polish Sport in 2010: http://www.najbogatsi.pl As you can see, Nicki Pedersen received 1.717 million zloty (£350,733 on current exchange rate) just from Stal Gorzow last year, which was actually down on his expected income due to him missing some matches with injury. This following article goes into detail about the income of some of the riders for last year and also discusses Jason Crump's 2011 contract with Rzeszow which was worth 2.8 million zloty (£571,724) assuming he scored over 200 points in the season, which he did. http://www.przegladsportowy.pl
pandorum
Whatever speedway riders are paid be it peanuts or not you can be sure they damn well earn it unlike many, many so called sports stars.

nbaynes
If the Poles introduce the one GP rider per club. Does that put Harris out in the cold. Crump likely to be first pick Reszow. Harris polish performances unlikely to attract another club? Perhaps he will ave to move back to div 2.
HenryW
If the Poles introduce the one GP rider per club. Does that put Harris out in the cold. Crump likely to be first pick Reszow.Harris polish performances unlikely to attract another club? Perhaps he will ave to move back to div 2. I suspect he will be back in Liga 1 next season if racing in Poland. I can't see him getting one of the 10 Extraliga places if they stick with the current plans. In order of Extraliga averages (showing only 2011 2012 GP riders), you have: 1. Hampel (10.50) 2. Gollob (9.67) 3. Crump (9.35) 4. Jonsson (9.31) 5. Protasiewicz (9.08) 6. N.Pedersen (8.65) 7. Hancock (8.58) 8. Holder (8.44) 9. Lindgren (7.75) 10. Bjerre (7.59) 11. B.Pedersen (6.81) 12. Harris (6.67) In the Polish Liga 1, you also had: 1. Ward (10.35) 2. Sajfutdinov (10.16) 3. Lindback (9.59) If you were running an Extraliga team next year, would you pick Harris as your only GP rider? I think not ............. Does anyone know if the league authorities receive any monies from the FIM to run the sport?
dabbsjoe
on the subject of money wasn't it mentioned that Gollob was being paid 1 million us dollars just for his monster energy sponsorship for this year
