stevebrum
Why? Just because the "official" announcement is tomorrow, that doesn't mean the news is under embargo until then. Just using it as excuse to have a little swipe I guess. Yea of course. Wouldn't have given Lindgren another chance. Does very little at this level. Of course not. Just 2 rostrum places in the last 3 rounds.
home straight
Yea of course. Which bit are you "yeah of coursing?"
Silver Bee
I would of,he is a class exciting rider who came third in the last completed gp,certainly deserves it more than Harris or Nicki Harris is a class exciting rider who finished second in the last completed GP. Has done more than Lindgren in his GP career with a GP win and joint 5th in the world which Lindgren hasn't managed. Not begrudging Lindgren a place but the justification you used for it is a bit silly. The wildcards are fairly dull with no real talking points. bennyr
Only two I agree with is darcy that was nailed on and he will do a job in the gp and nicki he has done it 3 times and think he will again. As for lindgren and harris think they have had there day. Harris token Brit but maybe they could of been brave and went for some one other then Freddie maybe THJ. But there is probably alot of polotics that go on behind the seens

I would 'nt have given Ward one either , if he's that good let him qualify and prove it.
flyin rocket
good to see Bomber and Darcy there... 3 times world champ Pedersen deserves another crack.. As for Lindgren - think a young more exciting Polish prospect should have come in or maybe Thomas H Jonasson,

Of course they were all for giving ward a place , he's a poole rider. you cant expect him to have to earn it just give it to him now and eventually he will prove worthy , hopefully just like Tai Woffinden did . roll on 2013 series
stevebrum
Which bit are you "yeah of coursing?" Your such a little ray of sunshine at times arent ya. If you want to have a sarcy dig at a comment then id say the reply was obvious. Even you can work that one out. Bet your glad the "massive favourites" triumphed last night Edited October 11, 2011 by stevebrum

Steve0
Ward, Pedersen, Lindgren and Harris announced as GP wildcards. That's the four I thought it would be - no surprise!
Saint Rob
As usual '1 decent round' Harris gets a nomination. Again
ShropWolf
Yea of course. Of course not. Just 2 rostrum places in the last 3 rounds. Totally agree if Freddie had been fit for the 2 grand Prix just after his injury he would have scored enough points to be in the top 8. Should be a good series in 2012 really excited as I'm going to 3 of them.

manchesterpaul
ooh the internet police are going to be all over this being in the wrong section! Beat me to it... Would've thought it was the first place to be announced... Whilst a lot of threads can be hard to decide what section they should be put in, it absolutely beggars belief that this topic has been started in the Elite League section. For goodness sake look at the title of the thread '2012 GP Wildcards Announced' should that not give a clue as to the correct forum. It certainly is not of being finicky either, it's annoying when following a topic to have to visit more than one section. Amazingly, as was bound to happen, there have already been duplicate posts made in the running thread in the GP section. There is, at this moment in time, a running 10 page thread on the topic http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=67053 Edited October 11, 2011 by manchesterpaul
Bagpuss
Personally I'd only have given Darcy a spot out of those four. Not a lot amongst the three qualifiers and the nominations to freshen the series up much.

ShropWolf
The only thing with putting young riders in is they are under so much pressure to suceed & Woffy is not rushing back to get in the SGP series. I think some of the top 8 riders from this year will be under pressure when the 2012 series start.
alan_boon
So the EL has 7 GP riders now. Try and tempt 3 more over and you could have a 1 per team rule...
