Well that's the day set for it... IF they don't use that date one can see fast looming on the horizon an NL play off final on the last weekend of October yet again!! As I say, can see if one or either team end up being difficult it all heading for that last weekend when then it's in the lap of the (weather) gods... Then maybe there does need to be a radical rethink about how teams are composed and how the championship in this division is decided because every year we get to this stage and this year the deadline was kept to and was in plenty of time.. Surely for the P/Os, riders who appear in such roles for NL sides should be able to have that take precedence over their doubling up duties..? Garrity was due to ride for Belle Vue last night, and not Leicester, for example. If Scunthorpe get to the final, I would fully expect the Worralls, Birks, et al to put their NL commitments ahead of the dead rubber meetings in the PL. I agree but there could be a problem with the points money,i would imagine there is quite a difference in what they earn in the NL compared to the PL not sure how you could rethink the teams though,as wouldnt it be great if many NL teams were victims of there own success,ie many you riders stepping up into the PL

montie
Did anyone else notice the huge difference in attitudes between the two teams least night? All the Saints rider changed and warming bike up,manager with them, captain showing form by being first changed etc, where was BV didnt even seem to have bike in the pits until late and two rider still unchanged 10 mins before it was called off I got the impresion BV didnt want it,maybe something to do with the cut of date

As far as I'm aware, he was going to ride. Whether he, or anyone else for that matter, wanted to ride is a different debate entirely! The POSF were supposed to be done by Sunday, but wouldn't be at all surprised if they weren't given an extension.

Yes Sheffield desperatly hoped they could get the meeting on and fair play to all those who slogged it out on the track to try and achieve that but even the most blind optimist in the stadium could see the meeting was not going to go ahead. Bikes and equipment were all in the pits just squashed under cover to try and keep them dry. I do think you are clutching at straws a little there to find someone to blame. Not at all,and after the track had been bladed off it was dry and ok to race, sadly the last downpour put paid to that you are right, but up until then, with a load of effort by the track staff it was game on,and for the bellevue team not to be changed and the saints ready,i dont think looked very good Different attitudes were evident i think and you could see who wanted it,
