Brummie Kev
Just got back, Firstly the news on Adam Roynon is he had pain in his left ankle after a heavy fall. The Paramedic said it wasnt serious and Adam is going to get it check it out at his local hospital in Cumbria. So thankfully it seems not serious. Massive crowd, overjoyed Ben won. Auty was absolutley fantastic, beating some top riders along the way. Will post more later.
stevebrum
Probably the best ben fund meeting ive seen racing wise. Certainly lively action in the last quarter. I cannot believe someone was calling for Sowka`s head after 2 races. Fool. (on wolfpack) The wolves trio were poor on a day of good standard opposition. Nicolai was gating awfully and then leaving too much work to do, altho he did appear quicker with each heat. Ty never really got going or looked threatening. Lukas got better with each heat and was more on the pace in his last 2 heats. The lad is 17 and has little experience other than 2nd tier in Poland. Give him a chance FFS!!!! Barker was a deserved winner, king certainly deserved his rostrum place. Auty looked brilliant and the Brummies certainly look like having a good season on todays display. Thank god we all got discount tickets for next weeks opening match against us. Wont be so hard to take when we get thrashed! £10 entry next week should ensure a good crowd. Harris is always value for money, N Pedersen you know is going to be involved in a racing incident, Schlein looked quick, b Pedersen proved he will hold his own for the Brummies. The PL lads did little as to be expected. Richardson showed why he isnt GP standard anymore whilst fisher proved he is still more than capable of an EL spot. Hope Roynon is ok, that a nasty get off and looked to have gone over with his leg twisted. Certainly indicated to the paramedics that something was wrong. Can only hope its nothing serious as the lad deserves a break. A bumper crowd sent home happy with the Brummies fans happier than most. YES, the season is now on!!!!!! ;D Edited March 11, 2012 by stevebrum

lucifer sam
Great meeting tonight, with some fantastic racing and a big crowd. Ben Barker a deserving winner, Chris Harris provided the thrills from behind, Danny King top scorer in the heats, Nicki P gating but not looking that fast, Schlein made a bad start in the semi but otherwise looked good, Auty a surprise but very derserving semi-finalist and looked very impressive. All the best Rob

Fourentee
What happened to Nicki P in the final? He got straightened up after touching with King, although Barker was clear at that point.
EC Rides Again
Brummies fans must be purring with the performance of their lads. Lovely to se the Brits showing so well. The season is up and running, bring it on !
wjm
Never tend to read too much into the results of early season meetings, a lot of riders are just easing themselves in – that being said it can have a serious affect on some riders confidence which has a snow ball effect throughout the season – Barker and King strike me as two riders that could really thrive on such an encouraging start. .
