Roger MARTIN
Indeed it will - other than Barker and Fisher, who else is actually turning up? Don't know Najjer, that's why i said it will interesting, who know's what will happen between now and the press and practice day, nobody know's who has signed, until we see who turn's up on the day, i haven't got a clue, this is a guess at the moment. 1, Ben Barker. 2, Ryan Fisher. 3, Nicki Glanz. 4, James Cockle. Apart from them i don't know who the rest are that will be at the press and practice. Edited February 25, 2012 by Devildodger
Roger MARTIN
I think he could average over 6 will be hard could improve. I can see Nicki doing well when at reserve maybe 5 to 6, but if he moves up then it could be harder.

cyclone
The reason Fisher isn't ridingh EL is because his demands are excessive and I amazed he did a deal with any PL club. To remind you, the above is what you originally posted, which you later stated was "confidential". You now quote the following:- Ok, I'll reveal my source: Edinburgh promoter John Campbell. Taken from the Edinburgh Evening News, October 11 2007 Edinburgh MONARCHS co-promoter John Campbell today reacted to rumours suggesting Ryan Fisher could be set for a shock return to Armadale next season by insisting: “We would need to find a major sponsor to make such a thing happen.” The Californian quit Monarchs to step back up to the Elite League to skipper Coventry Bees this season, but it’s understood Fisher hasn’t found the move as lucrative as he imagined and might consider a return to Premier League racing which would give him more races. It’s also believed that Premier League newcomers Leicester Lions have expressed an interest in Fisher. The Lions returned to speedway this year after more than a decade, but are anchored near the foot of the table. They see the colourful American as the ideal candidate to spearhead their title challenge at Beaumont Park in 2012. Campbell, below, added: “Leicester have got crowds four or five times bigger than ours, and they would be better placed to afford him than we are. “Ryan is a very expensive rider and has also got a very high average that makes it difficult to build a team around him, but if we found a sponsor we would consider it.” Fisher was a hugely popular No. 1 for Monarchs in 2010 when they claimed their third championship crown, and many fans were crestfallen over his departure, but the possibility of him pulling on a Monarchs race-jacket once again would provide the Capital club with a massive shot in the arm, although Campbell points out: “Up until our matches with Glasgow our crowds were higher this season than they were the previous season when Ryan rode for us, so you can’t necessarily say that Ryan attracted bigger crowds – because he didn’t.” Actiually, I was wrong; I am not sure how Fisher's wage demands might be seen as confidential when John Campbell has revealed all to a city newspaper. How dare he do so, damaging the riders chances of future employment Still believe BP, Bob C & I deal in 'gossip' or could it be that we are actually right ? So where in the quotes attributed to John Campbell does he state that "his demands are excessive". ? Do you have a comprehension problem in being unable to differentiate between "very expensive" and "excessive demands" ? If I was offered a Rolls Royce at list price it would be very expensive, whereas if a dealer was to quote the same price for an Hyundai, that would be an excessive demand. Given that you originally claimed that the information was confidential, you are certainly guilty of embellishing what was already in the public domain BTW I do know that Ryan has previously included the cost of bringing his family across to the UK as part of the package he negotiates, and perhaps this factor contributes to the "expensive" tab. As has been quoted in various articles Ryan seems to budget for his family coming over with him(no problem there) but some people might see that as" excessive." I think 5 or 6 at reserve is possible, he will find it hard going into the main body of the team, but Nicki is a very determined lad, and i would not be surprised to see him do well. mythman666
Agree and disagree, yes I don`t think it is right to change a rider at this late stage just cos someone else is suddenly avaliable, however if the rider is Boxall,he ain`t exactly Mr.Loyalty is he? What goes around, comes around. I am late in the game.on this thread, for that I apologise, but this is a superb post!

Your right Drac it is all prediction's and opinion's, but i feel that there is no reason why Nicki can't double his average, Kristiansen finished the season on a 6.06 average after starting on a 3, now you can't recall him yanking up any tress before that, and most of the points he got was at the SBA. he did nothing away no better than a reserve, but you woudn't have made that prediction at the start of the year, but i feel Nicki can do the same at the SBA and do what he done and bang in a few points, but away from the SBA i'm not so sure, but that didn't stop Kristiansen doubling his average. Jespers starting average for 2011 was 4.80 and that was his third Premier League season after spending two seasons with us at Stoke. He is a far more accomplished and experienced rider than Glanz so maybe not the best comparison.

Fair enuff Kristiansen started on a 4.80 average, my mistake, and is a more experience rider than Nicki, but not at the SBA, and that's where he got most of his points, but Nicki finished with Reading before he gon't injured on a 4 pt cma, and i see no reason Nicki won't do the same has Jesper at the SBA, away from the SBA i'm not so sure he will do so well, but saying that he can't do much worse away than Kristiansen, i'm not saying he will, and i'm not saying he won't, i'm saying there is no reason why he can't. Last year we had Jason Bunyan who had more experience than Jesper, so to compare they two last year you could say maybe not the best comparison, and to say Jason was a more accomplished rider you would have to agree with that, Bunyan started on a 7+ average and Kristiansen on a 4.80 average, but midway into the season that changed, and Bunyan was on a 4+ average and Kristiansen on a 6.06 average, so you can't always go by making comparison's, i just feel Nicki will do well at the SBA.
