TMW
I do. We were top of the league at one point this season. We were top last season. How many NL titles to we have? If another team is coming on strong then with the crappy PO's in place you have to try to make changes otherwise finishing top means nothing. If I recall correctly Dudley dropped Sarjeant for Mickey Dyer then Mickey Dyer dropped Dudley for the PO final. Sarjeant has gone on to be a big hitter in the strongest team in the 2011 league wonder if Dudley are thinking better of that decision now. ChubbyChesgire
..and he will remain in the squad Is this a typo - is he staying in the squad, or should that read "not remain" Feel sorry for Ben, he was trying so hard in each race - I hope he'll do well in the future
21st century heathen
Correct but a moot point. Sarj was in poor form when he was dropped, still averaging less than 4 as his form picked up later in the season, last season and Dyer averaged 7. It was the right decision at the time. We started this season with two 3-pointers at reserve so we couldn't have fitted Sarj in this season anyway.
MrMungo
And on the subject of number 8's - how many teams named a number 8 at the start of the season? Off the top of my head I don't think any did, making all the teams illegal. Therefore I declare the results so far null and void and the Heathens as NL champions...just because I can!! Scunthorpe/Sheffield named Oliver Greenwood as number 8. Whether he was officially listed (on the BSPA site) as number 8, I can't remember. 21st century heathen
Cheers. Was that in the initial declaration and why was he dropped?
MrMungo
Cheers. Was that in the initial declaration and why was he dropped? I seemed to recall that he impressed on the P&P day, and was announced as the number 8 then. As the season got going, they seemed to realise there were availability issues, with the side having 4 PL riders, along with Paul Cooper's availability issues. They then signed Greg Blair. Stefan Nielsen was booted down to number 8, and Oliver Greenwood was the number "9" I suppose you could say. Back to the thread, got to feel some sympathy for Ben Reade. Not paid that much attention to his scores, but he's seemed to have done a solid job at reserve. He's perhaps a victim of being in a successful side! Sometimes people grow from adversity, and hopefully Mr. Reade is one of those. It's a tough sport sometimes.

Derek 613
Just been flicking through as I don't come in this section, but is Tony Atkin still riding he must be drawing a pension now surely? Yep Tony is still riding and is like an 18yo in the pits full of enthusiasm and scoring some very good points.
21st century heathen
He's had a good season (8-point average) and been a big part of the team's success so far. Cheers. Blows my claim out of the water then. ------------------------------- I'm actually surprised and disappointed that Ben hasn't done significantly better to be honest. I saw him in a season-opener challenge at B'ham and thought he looked good. Maybe next season. I'd not mind if the club take a punt on him if we're looking for a 3-pointer. TMW
tim nobes has a habit for not turning up at grass meetings ,cannot see him changing his ways.hope he turns up for stoke every match, Tim is great to watch on the grass. He's a bit like Marmite with the fans though due to the amount of crashes he gets involved in. Really nice bloke but very small brain I wonder if any of this was in the recommendation from Barker
