Maybe not, but I definately did not know that ice racing was "outsourced" as well. EDIT: it was outsourcing, not downsourcing... Ghostwalker
SM-Final cancelled due to thin ice.... "Tävlingen blir tyvärr inställd på grund av tunn is" Too bad but not THAT surprising, Målilla is too far south to host such an event especially since they have to rely on cold weather only while other tracks such as Uppsala, have equipment for making artificially frozen ice. Apparently the ice in Målilla was only 3-4 cm thick on some places. more info here: http://www.aktuellspeedway.se/nyheter.php?subaction=showfull&id=1327162412&archive=&start_from=&ucat=1701& and here: http://sverigesradio.se/sida/artikel.aspx?programid=86&artikel=4922201 Edited January 21, 2012 by Ghostwalker

iris123
Kononov out!!!! Quite a surprise in Lukhovitsy. But as only 6 Russian riders are allowed through to the GP series we have the situation where only two qualified through from this round.Krysov + Karachintsev along with the two best non Russians.Aakko + Max Niedermaier Results here http://www.speedway.org/eisspeedwaygp/2012/quali/index.html#lukhovitsy

Because in a way thats exactly what you are saying. To put it in another way, we do NOT yet know if he's out or not. According to the rulebook I might add. The CCP bureau will meet up after todays qualifiers to decide which (if any) Russians are left out. Edited January 28, 2012 by f-s-p

Not sure where you get the first idea from. But i do fully expect Ivanov + Krasnikov to get through their round and the Khomitsevitch bros to make their round. If as is being said only 6 Russians are allowed through then sure i can't see anyway that Kononov gets through without withdrawals or injuries.Seems speedway.org have the qualifiers confirmed from Russian official..... f-s-p
I got it from the fact that you are saying that Kononov is out while at this exact moment there are only 4 Russians qualified from the maximum 6 for this years series. So basically you are taking for granted that the other 4 (2 each) will qualify. Which they'll most likely do... But the rulebook states clearly, that the CCP will get together after the qualis and decide who's in or out. The SR for Lukhovitsys round did not state anything about the number of riders qualifying from any specific FMNR. iris123
I could possibly see Krasnikov not taking his place in the GPs......highly unlikely, but maybe to let someone like Kononov through. He has found the love of his life so it seems and i do think that is part of what has given him enthusiasm to show the new woman in his life just how good he is.Macho type thing ya know But it might be that he decides he doesn't need to do the GPs,just win the quali and let someone else through.Who knows what goes on in a blokes mind when in love? Well Otti has posted the FIM official results that were sent to her and Niedermaier is through. But anything can and does happen.I can't actually get it to load up clear enough to see,but seeing as she say's it is Max i guess she can-Wait and see until the committee meets later eh?
