Conkers
It looks like the Russians are to organise their Championship over three rounds in 2011/12. So far the provisional dates for the Individual events are: Dec 17/18, 2011: Individual Semi Finals: Lukhovitsy, Kamensk-Ural, Ufa, Shadrinsk Dec 24/25, 2011: Final 1 - Novosibisrk Jan 7/8, 2012: Final 2 - Ufa Feb 18/19 2012: Final 3 - Togliatti They have the teams for the leagues set, but the MFR are waiting on the FIM to issue their fixture list so they can finalise theirs. Poland have moved the Sanok QR and Sanok Cup back a week according to eSpeedway to 28/29th Jan 2012, but the FIM need to ratify it.
f-s-p
We had frost in the car windows yesterday morning for the first time this fall. I guess that marks it's ok to start talking about ice racing. I spoke with Jouni Seppänen yesterday and heard so much positive about the coming season in Finland that I forgot most of it. The season starter is organised at Yli-Tornio on the first weekend of December. A three day practise with international riders. Forssa has big plans with a new track, as a news it can be almost compared to Eteläpuisto returning. Also a meeting is planned in southern Finland in march thats gonna be big. I'll spill the beans on the lot when someone has said it's ok to do so. But still no dates confirmed, cant do anything about it.

iris123
The Team semi final has been cancelled. Money issue between the Inzell club and the Inzell city Can't say i am surprised at that.Great new stadium and such a low key meeting. Not sure such a meeting is realy viable.Wonder if anyone else will take it on? I think we said that back in March, Doug, when it was being talked about. The Semi wouldn't get a big crowd without the Austrians as the German team are without Bauer. But the sooner that Stadium is staging finals the better. The economics of that place staging the Semi Final would be astronomic, as they wouldn't get a big crowd to cover the costs IMHO. iris123
I thought maybe Poland as i thought it was Poland pressuring for a place in the team championship.Heard something about all of this at Inzell this year and it sounded doubtful. Conkers
Poland would be the logical; choice, but Sanock have the World Championship QR followed by the Sanok Cup, so where else could they stage it? Also I heard last week, the FIM may only stage one round of the World Championship in Russia, as they have a World Championship QR and the team Final. Still no sign of the confirmed FIM dates, but they should be out in the next week or so, as the Russians appear to be getting impatient to confirm their dates

Good question. Not sure of all the alternatives, but if Sanok can't host the meeting there was a meeting on a lake in Poznan(i think)last season.Think Jouni + one or both of the new Dutch riders were there and Crump was watching with interest Might be a big gamble though with the weather. Poland had meetings at Gniezno and Poznan,on frozen lakes on the 2nd and 8th of January. Two years ago the Polish promotor was trying to run a qualification round for the team championships on an artificial speedskating circuit near Warsaw, I think it was. GB were invited but the ACU didn't ask the FIM for a place, which meant the meeting was short of teams so wasn't held.
