Shadders
I'd rather take Ben than McBain who has been around since the Armadale Dale Devils days and still not made the breakthrough. Location may be a hinderance granted but the fact is if he was at the same level as Ben he'd be in a NL team regardless. No disrespect meant to McBain, he clearly isn't the best rider available. Edit: Just read the press release myself, Adam McKinna is riding at Workington, McBain is only riding at Glasgow. James Sarjeant scored 5+1 for Edinburgh at Armadale tonight

Dekker
How did he look overall Dekks? Ht 2 Beat Ksiezak [always poor] Ben Reade [First time but getting good reviews if its the Stoke one] from the gate, easy win. In 2nd race gated last but Gathercole / Kurtz messed up a corner and Sargent passed both and held 2nd all the way to line Then a last and a then fall when dicing with Reade for 3rd, both fell remounted, Reade got bike going Sargent couldn't

Rayleigh
Hawkins 14 rides this weekend ZERO race wins, Rye Houses strength this year was who ever was at reserve would be too good, we need some points away quickly for a top 6 place, the goodwill is fast running out. Don't let Jordan Frampton escape any critisism for his meagre return of 6 points from 8 rides... that's an average of 3.00!! Rayleigh
Fair point, and also no guest for Garrity unlike Newcastle tonight (for both Worralls). Two home matches in play offs = very good gate reciepts which makes the penny pinching decision some what baffling.
Dekker
you had a guest for garrity, mcbain who won heat 2.
Shadders
you had a guest for garrity, mcbain who won heat 2. All you could ask from a guy who doesn't even ride regularly in the NL, let alone the PL... 1 point from rider replacment didn't help either! Rayleigh
So to recap Hawkins no wins from 14 rides from reserve McBain (hands up who predicted that heat win, a big thank you to him for that) had a better average that Frampton A grand total of one point from r/r Still I suppose the flight from Australia is due to land soon to save our season. I truly dont mind losing after all we have had Ronnie Russell in charge but it doesnt feel that all stops are being pulled out, I sincerely hope I am wrong though. Chris
Hawkins pathetic again over the last two evenings. His last three away scores are 7 from 7, 4 from 7 and 6 from 7. This from an experienced rider who has rode on all these tracks many times. He should never have been signed on again at the start of the season. Frampton just isn't happy at Rye and looks as though he can't be arsed anymore. He said he wasn't happy riding for Rye last season, so looks as though he's got little motivation to do well. Rye will get mullered 3 times next weekend as well. Silver is lying to the fans about Nelson and is doing things on the cheap as usual. Any danger of putting out a seven man side? His comments on the press release after the Workington loss were comical and basically praised the riders for showing great heart! Says it all about his ambition. Quite clear this side is nowhere near good enough for a play off beth and the season will just drift along to nothing again. It's been a long time now since Silver put any sort of decent side together. Edited July 29, 2012 by Chris
Reddan
Doolan for Frampton? I know it's not gonna happen but... what the heck is wrong with Frampton this year? Anything like normal scores from him on this most recent northern tour and we could have taken a match point from these matches!! He must be in danger of hitting a reserve berth soon!!
