Catalan
Jepsen Jensen's average would be 7.00 in PL. But he has too many commitments in Poland and Sweden. You've got a worrying obsession with Jepson Jensen!!!!!!!!!
Najjer
Haven't Travis McGowan and Jason Doyle had their visa applications similarly rejected?... Do they have a "past" too? As far as I know, Jason Doyles visa was never rejected. It just simply wasn't accepted in time.

bolly
I have just noticed on the BSPA site, what has been a fairly well kept secret that Rye House Stadium is now the home track of the MK Dons, MDL spedway team. I presume the matches will be run after Rockets or Raiders matches as was the case last week at the Peterborough Challenge match ? It came to me as a bit of a suprise that Hoddesdon is in the midlands now I know that it used to be a Greyhound track, maybe that will be reinstated with Whippet racing as well ? westhamboy66
You have the question why someone would change both their surname and then only be known by that surname, so is in effect being known as a name that is not his own. There have been all sorts of rumours about his past, maybe the UK authorities have just caught up with them? Or it could just be an admin thing. But based on the stories I head, I was amazed they let him into the country last year if even half of them things were true! Tyburn Gallows and Kid Bodie...two dodgy names from the Speedway past. Does that mean they were criminals as is being suggested re Nelson. Rumour has it that one day someone will have the guts to A) Put the rumours on here for all to read or Ask him face to face when he eventually arrives. Either way the tiresome nonsense may then stop. Stories put about on here seem to have little substance and as such should be removed by those with the power to do so before someone eventually finds themselves in court as has happened with other similar forums. Good point. Surely the question should be a) Can he ride and Does he provide entertainment - the times I have seen him the answer is yes. Same with Garrity is a bit lary/scary, and allegedly has history - but can ride a bike and is entertaining. If both manage to get their heads together I beleive they will come through and progress in the sport. Would pay money to watch them both though.
aayjaybee
Here are the two line ups for todays meeting just got them from the Leicester web site i dont know if this the race order. Leicester: Lasse Bjerre, Simon Lambert, Kauko Nieminen, Jari Mäkinen, Magnus Karlsson, Jan Graversen and Kyle Hughes Rye House: Charlie Gjedde, Ritchie Hawkins, Anders Mellgren, Luke Bowen, Jordan Frampton, Jason Garrity and Jason Bunyan
CardinalSin
The Rye team now looks quite impressive. A top drawer heatleader pair in Gjedde and Frampton, a strong reserve pair in Bunyan and Garrity, and a solid middle order particularly at home. I agree with your statement that Rye have a strong middle order but only at Hoddesdon. If you take Bowens current average it is (4.97). It shows how poor a rider he is away from Rye as he usually scores 8-10 points at home which means he nets only 1-2 points away, whereas Hawkins whose average is (5.16) is the opposite with a poor return at home but slightly higher scores away. When and if Nelson does get his visa and comes back into the team my choice would be to drop either of them and keep Mellgren who could do a job both home and away. If the choice has to be made, Luke is likely to be the one to stay. He scores well at home whilst Ritchie isn't scoring anywhere just now. Two points from four at Somerset last night and two from five at Ipswich last week in the 'Star of Anglia' at Ipswich a couple of weeks ago, both clubs he has ridden for in recent years, then nil last week in the Peterborough challenge at Rye House. Says it all really. Then you have to add Luke's group of supporters who come along each week he is riding. When he isn't they are conspicuous by their absence! Pinny
Replace Hawkins with Nelson if and when he becomes available to ride in the UK. Mellgren will be a fine signing, like Gjedde he was superb in his stint at Newport last season. A true professional who is very young and will have a big future in the sport. I've not warmed to Chas yet, he needs to sort out his gating... I hope he's not doing a Berwick on us... Anders looks to be a fine signing, nothing like I was expecting... We have to find a way of keeping him, but I'm not hopeful after last years Doyle/Boxall scandal!

Dietbowers
Going on previous experiences no! If and when Nelson comes over,I`d put him in the team in place of Hawkins, who unfortunately, seems to be standing still in his career. Both Nelson and Mellgren are capable of improving their averages,I can`t see Hawkins doing the same.

I agree with Shadders that Mellgren looked good last night, other than Ht 15 against both Nimenen and Karlson, he had one bad moment where he picked up grip, straightened up an almost wiped out the rest of the field on the apex of bends 1-2. Gjedde looked ok, but needs to show quicker gating and maybe a bit more determination in the first couple of bends. Jordan still to recapture his peak form, maybe still nursing the scaphoid injury a little. Richie looked to be 100% effort and made on superb pass on a one racing line track. Needs better machinery ?? Luke had a good meeting and when he got out of the gates did well to hold off Karlson. Bunyan was there and there abouts all night in the points every race including a heat 2 win. Garrity looked to struggle away from the gate and then did not have power or skill to get back on terms with other riders. Points dropped I'm afraid not 1 point gained
westhamboy66
Both Richie and Luke had pretty good meetings at Leicester as did Melgren. Can't say the same about Charlie whose lack of points cost us the match and i have to say that if Nelson arrives i'd rather keep Melgren than Charlie. Seems to me so far Charlie is going through the motions and saving himself for Belle Vue and picking up a bit of money on side. Always worries me when a rider is doubling up and he is scoring more in the EL than the PL

Always worries me when a rider is doubling up and he is scoring more in the EL than the PL Looks to me like Chas may have the same mindset that he had when racing for Berwick last year. Strange that he totally upped his game when he signed for Newport... Just a theory, but perhaps Berwick and Rye House offered him guaranteed money (as I know Len does for all the rest of the side) plus money on top for extra points gained, whilst Newport were offering a different deal with less guaranteed and more money per point? I don't see Jordan as a number one, so we could have to rely on Chas to sort himself out and start riding like he did for the Wasps last year! Ben91
Gjedde has had a slow start in 2 away meetings, think he'll pick up though, he's riding better for us than he did for Berwick last season although granted he isn't riding to the standards he showed at Newport. He'll pick up soon I'm sure, he's the sort of rider who can make Rye his own fortress if he gets dialled in. As has been mentioned if Nelson comes back for Hawkins then we'll have a very decent team on our hands.
