bolly
Very suprised to hear last night that Jordan (Frampton) is aiming to be back racing for next weeks challenge against Peterborough. Maybe prudent for his and the teams overall season for him to have another weeks recovery and comeback when we have a more meaningful match ??? Perhaps he wants to test the injury in a meaningless match, but surely a few practice laps full pelt would be a more sensible option, besides, it ain't meaningless to the people who've spent £16 to watch! Very surprising the normal healing time for a scaphoid is six weeks....he could be taking a risk.. i doubt he is doing it on docters advice... bolly
As challenges go, this is pretty good. I am looking forward to seeing Tai, Eddie and Linus on the Rye track again, but a great pity that Chris and a fully fit Jordan will not be matching themselves against them (( I see that Chris is back at home now and seems fairly upbeat on his twitter account. Hope to see him at Rye in the not to distant and maybe when he gets the 100% clear from the doctors, we will see him back on his bike

Pinny
Gjedde is a top signing on 8.88... he was a sensation for Newport last season, finishing fifth in the final league averages after the start he had at Berwick was a fine acheivement. Not only is he mighty fast when out front, he can gather amazing speed when chasing the pack and some of the moves he pulled off for Newport last year at home in particular were outstanding... one that will always stand out was when Havelock tried stuffig him through the pit gate and he just kept it wound on to win by some distance. He will average 9+ no fear... and will be in the top 3 averages in the PL by the end. A cracking signing and one the Rye fans will take to very quickly.
Rockets
I have to say I cannot wait for saturday. The racing should be first class although it should be a comfortable peterborough win. Just hope Frampton does nt agrivate his injury though.

spin king
Saw Gjedde at Sheffield last week and I have to say that he looked far better around Sheffield than the 3 occasion's I saw him last season at Sheffield. And the track at Sheffield was not that slick or a dust bowl.

bolly
Just another stab in the dark then!!! Wrong again i'm afraid. But not since the new shale with the dust dampener went down ?? Much better outside lines and very little dust now (fingers crossed for a bank holiday double header)
Shadders
The track used to get very dusty in the summer months during afternoon meetings, but since the new shale and the additive they have in the water the dust is virtually non existant.... Try telling that to some people with an agenda... you may as well not bother!

My original quote was track conditions from meetings I have attended and seen Charlie perform well.Ps Does this additive they have in the water stop the track drying out!!! Len better get the patent on that one! Edited March 27, 2012 by Fromafar

Len better get the patent on that one! The additive is called dust buster it is commercially available and is used in gravel pit's etc to keep the dust at bay.
