Rye House 2012

cannot understand how difficult it can be to get a visa until September.

The boy was working here last year and this country is overrun with fecking illegals!!

Makes my blood boil....

If he wanted to be here he'd have arrived by now. Someone is telling porkies, be it Tyson to the Rye House promotion, or the Rye House promotion to the rest of the world. Something doesn't quite add up and the sooner one of them comes clean the better

Shadders surely if Len knew Tyson was nt coming he would just say so and sign another replacement for Luke?

You would think so..Does Doolans average fit ?..Might kick start his season,,?

At a guess I'd say Doolan was mid 6's replacing Nelson on around 5

Doolan for Luke is a no go without making another change.

Doolan was with us on the 1st bend at Ipswich earlier and I can say for certain he won't be a Rocket.

Perhaps a bandit if Aldens broken his hand.

Glasgow or Redcar seem the likely destinations

James McBain guests for Rye House at Workington & Glasgow this weekend according to Twitter

James currently rides for the Kumho Kings. Arguably the best rider in the NJL, would easily hold an NL place if clubs would hire a rider from so far north.

Thanks for info. I'm sure Rye have used him in the past.

From Rye website today.

Finally, the application for Tyson Nelson’s visa continues to drag on. Processing of the application has unfortunately been delayed by a backlog of work due to the Olympics and pending industrial action by all UK border agency staff. As a result, no news is not good news.

Next weeks thrilling instalment of the Tyson Nelson, will he, wont he story to be published. As soon as they can think it up :D

So the processing of a professional sportsman's paperwork that's dragged on for weeks & weeks is only now apparently held up by the processing of lots of professional sportsmen's & women's paperwork.

That all seems plausible & not at all flannel-based.

Maybe they should sub-contract their press statements to the Berwick guy - maybe Harry Potter can help.

Forget Nelson. Not worth worrying about at this stage of the season.

Use Ben on two northern tours...dont think so

Gjedde had won me over but this means 4 meetings missed due to the arrival of a baby. Unbelievable

The Nelson saga became boring in april. Cant see the point of him coming over now, i don't believe any quotes on what has hapenned nor can i believe the whole problem stemmed from a simple visa application error either. But to be honest does anyone really care anymore?

What your not bothered the promotion are lying to you or are happy to go on the cheap and go with R/R(probably duff 3 pointers as well with Garrity out) for the rest of the season?

I'd rather take Ben than McBain who has been around since the Armadale Dale Devils days and still not made the breakthrough. Location may be a hinderance granted but the fact is if he was at the same level as Ben he'd be in a NL team regardless.

No disrespect meant to McBain, he clearly isn't the best rider available.

Edit: Just read the press release myself, Adam McKinna is riding at Workington, McBain is only riding at Glasgow.
