Pere Ubon
Personally I don't see it as being stronger, leaving Heeps (who is currently injured) at reserve with Hart certainly would leave us struggling at the bottom end if Cam has an off night or take longer than expected to recover fully. I do like Sam and would love him to be a witch, but maybe next season rather than alter this years line up. Marginal I would agree, it really depends how quickly Taylor can recover some form. As for Cameron Heeps, one small advantage in making the suggested change, is that as from 1st September his new average would make him the stronger reserve, and should his injury be a problem, they could then use a Premier League, rather than a National League, guest. Roland
Masters could have and probably should have been in from the start of the season!
tyretrax
No wonder Poole was so bad at Glasgow he needed a wee cup of tea.

Cliffeboy
Masters could have and probably should have been in from the start of the season! Yawn, he is and still is a Somerset asset, why would he want to ride for you, anyone else left that Ippo could have or should have signed at the start of the season. I`d say he `s done pretty well with the decisions he`s made, both his teams are top of their respective divisions.
tcoz88
Yes along with Nick Morris but we all know how louis reacts dont we to chance, thats it like a snail I for one would love to have seen nick in a witches race jacket, but how is he meant to be at both Swindon and Ipswich on a Thursday night??? On the subject of Sam, would love to fit him in, maybe get a 3 pointer at reserve for the end of season, Nielsen or Jacobs spring to mind for the experience. But what about Taylor, needs time to get sharp and fit, won't get that without racing. And tees, as he gave up long track for us, would be harsh unless he could get fixed up elsewhere. All in all, a tough call N I'll support whichever way they choose.

tcoz88
Tell me when did Nick Morris sign for Swindon??? http://www.swindonrobins.co/news.php?extend.1571.1 Weds Jan 4th, see link above for confirmation. But if you remember he wasn't doubling up at the beginning of the season, so any premier league club showing interest wouldn't of even been considered! Ipswich Jules
http://www.swindonro...p?extend.1571.1 Weds Jan 4th, see link above for confirmation Facts have no value with Aljerk, he lives in an alternative world to the rest of us, there was also the fact of a court case around that time wasn't there? Not saying Morris was involved in it of course but it could of impacted upon his availability.......

So we had all of Nov and Dec to sign him Im sure made the right offer he would have signed for the Witches a track he loves. So like I said previously should have signed Masters and Morris

dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Another notable showing from young Nielsen last night. Would be very happy to see his name at No7 next year. I believe he could average 4 at PL level next year. What Tocha said ^^ So we had all of Nov and Dec to sign him Im sure made the right offer he would have signed for the Witches a track he loves. So like I said previously should have signed Masters and Morris Just for the sake of making you look a twit again, lets assume we did sign Masters and Morris along with the 4 Aussies you approve of at the start of the season, so 6 of your team is complete and looks like so: Morris - 8.27 Masters - 7.52 Poole - 6.90 North - 5.83 Tungate - 5.00 Heeps - 3.00 Total - 36.52 Leaving 5.98 for your last rider - so you've also not gone with a "genuine No.1" as according to you they have to be a minimum of 8.5 - well done on proving you agree with the Louis and going for strength in depth! cowboy cookie returns?
After watching last nights meeting i think i would still with the present line up as Taylor looks better each time he rides & needs to race to build up the fitness. On the subject of last night i have to say the 13 heat & second half was much better than the current 15 heat format & also seems to allow the team managers alot more input into a meeting. Anyone think that the 13 heat format should return? I should point out that it was the first time i have seen 13 heats as it was 1989 before i went to speedway i'm not just thinking the old days were better! dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
We must stick by Tay. It was always going to be a struggle in the first few weeks. He is still adapting how he rides and his set up due to the limitations in his strength whilst he regains full fitness. I know on Thursday after struggling to turn the bike in heat 1 he had to completely change his set up - sprocket size, bike length, jet size, tyre pressures - to make it spin more and easier to turn the bike. I do remember the old 13 heat format very well and in my opinion it was alot better than the present format. I would go back to that and also the old tactical ride format of any rider can replace another rider during the meeting but perhaps after being 8 points down instead of the old 6 points. Add to that 13 heat format with a compulsory champion of the evening with 3 heats winner to final plus fastest 2nd and add all the points got from the final and have a champion of the evening championship at end of season with a cup. Be also nice to go back to having a best of 3 heats for the silver helmet during the season. Suppose none of these ideas will come to fruition but it is a case of "The good old days" are the best. Another reason we should keep Poole is after a winter of racing in aussie Poole should come back in 2013 raring to go, so it is us he rides for and not another team. I think Masters will possibly think about returning to Somerset next year, so how about the Aussie Witches in 2013 Masters Poole Doolan North Tungate Heeps Nielsen
