seanmuffe
For God's sake, you idiot, give up. The only pathetic thing about Ipswich Speedway is you ...wish that was true.
alan 1991
I actually started a new thread for this meeting in the individual section as I felt the John Berry tribute meeting mertited a thread of its own. With the bile that spews forth from one particular posters keyboard, I had hoped by starting a new thread that all the pathetic stuff could be avoided (and that's most defiinately not aimed at you Bash - I've just quoted your post because it's sensible (and realistic) ) Dave love seems a decent enough bloke to me
mickthemuppet
I thought two of the main reasons for dropping down from the Elite League to the premier league was regular Thursday night racing and not keep seeing the same teams back at Foxhall. They are not doing very well are they. We are now up to meeting Rye House eight times this season . Will it eventually get into double figures. I don't think John Berry would have been very pleased to see a match like this in his memory. Surely he deserves better that this.?

Ipswich have raced Rye House three times at home (Anglian Cup, League Cup and Premier League) and twice away, with the final PL fixture taking place at Rye House in September. That makes six in total - three of them being away. The John Berry Tribute meeting is a one-off against Rye House, it's not being raced over two legs. If you're trying to make a point, it helps to get your facts right first.
tone deaf
We would all have liked to see a glittering line-up of superstars for the John Berry tribute but lets face it, we never got that when we were in the Elite League. Personally I don't see a problem with riding against Len Silver's team, it makes perfect sense to me. The 13 heat line-up & champion of the evening is also fitting for the occasion. Aljack, I really don't understand why you bother to go to Foxhall. If its so bad, stop going & stop spewing your cretinous nonsense all over the forum. You cannot call yourself a Witches fan. I don't think you've ever made a sensible constructive comment on here & even managed to get a dig at the current promotion into a post about John Berry's passing.

Pere Ubon
Sad more fans on back straight visible than we get now in whole stadium ... even for EL Aljack !!! But that was a "proper" test match....run over eighteen heats. Not the watered down version that's used now.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Sad more fans on back straight visible than we get now in whole stadium ... even for EL Aljack !!! Of course tonight there will be no fans there thanks to the lack of co-operation between promotions!!
aljack
Dave Jessup, Michael Lee, Malcolm Simmons, John Louis (on bike), John Berry, Gordon Kennett, Peter Collins & Terry Betts What a team to represent the best in British speedway and look at that attendance behind them in the old "chicken run" Wow!!! they were the days when Foxhall had the top meetings and top riders every week and add to that a wonderful promoter RIP John. Now what have we got? Well we have 2nd class speedway with gates under 1,000 and a promoter who do everything on the cheap
