Icicle
Curiously I note there is NO thread here for the PLymouth v Ipswich match! So- Well done to Morten for a great Top score! Sadly we might have just won if Taylor & Dak had been fully fit, as it was a poor score from Taylor & I hope Dak is not too badly suffering from his injury & is fit again soon. Ipswich Jules
Good luck to Doolan going to Redcar and that will mean more money in louis pocket from the loan fee So you were calling for him to be dropped and were slating the promotion for signing him as an asset, now he has been dropped you're cynical as he has found a different club for the rest of the season which means a loan fee? Should Kevin of sat at home and not raced anymore then?
Gavan
i see Monberg scoring well for Somerset!! thats who we should of gone for i said that weeks ago!
spanner47
Great performance from our deadbeat journeyman last night. The troll has been slagging our deadbeat journeymen off and praising the 4 young Aussies all season. Now it's time for the 4 young Aussies to get scoring again. We've still got 2 cup s/f to look forward to, but we cant rely on our deadbeat journeymen to get all the points.
jennywren
Good luck to Doolan going to Redcar and that will mean more money in louis pocket from the loan fee I heard that the Louis' have ordered a top of the range Mercedes each based on the extra money they will now have coming in from this deal and with the money they get from Robert Miskowiak being loaned to Wolverhampton they may even consider putting a deposit down on a luxury villa in the Caribbean Edited August 4, 2012 by ASV

Baldyman
Great score from Morten, that's far more like it. Although I dont expect it all the time, I think his scoring will improve now Kevin has gone.
Mr Snackette
The last 2 meetings Lanham has been superb, with some good aggressive and defensive riding. Has certainly shut up all those fans that have been shouting abuse at him after the races a few weeks ago. Despite his last two performances his RA continues to fall, and now stands at 6.69. Surprisingly, with just one home and two away meetings scheduled before the next set of GSAs are calculated, Lanham now sits at #1 in the Witches' averages. Mind you it's very tight, with young Poole and Tungate just 0.01 behind, North at 6.64, Risager 6.23, Tres 6.02, and the boy Heeps 4.41. mickthemuppet
Who gives a toss anyway . Most people go to Speedway to be entertained not to work out who has an average of .01 better than somebody else.
orderly
With an average of 7.67 it would have required major changes - most likely dropping two riders and bringing in a 3 pointer at reserve alongside Heeps. I agree it had to be a possibility, but a very close call on whether there would be any overall benefit. Somerset got a good deal, because Monberg has replaced Vissing - who has put in some good scores but is erratic and accident prone. How can you say that he is accident prone when it was the actions of one of your riders that caused his injury
Mr Snackette
Who gives a toss anyway . Most people go to Speedway to be entertained not to work out who has an average of .01 better than somebody else. I would have thought that Lanham might be, particularly if he ends up in the number one race jacket in September!!!!!! To someone like Muppet, the simple task of maintaining and updating an elementary spreadsheet must seem rather onerous. But remember poor old Muppet, who incidentally regards himself as a gambling expert, yet lacked the mathematical acumen to understand the principles of absolute returns. If Muppet thinks I'm sad then so be it. But coming from someone who thinks that incest is OK, that pretends about being a professional gambler, only to be "outed" as a shop assistant....then perhaps being sad isn't that bad!!!! In a sport where team strengths are governed by averages,Id say its worth more than a toss.
aljack
What a shocking performance from the Witches at Plymouth, Risager scores 19 points and they still LOSE!!! Theres something wrong in the Witches camp and it needs pruning out before next season. By the way all those lanham lovers I see he got a puny 7 points from the easy number 3 spot and cost us a win yet again!!!

I would think all Ippo fans would be interested in the top end averages, as it would appear you have missed out on Pairs now following the fours. I dont think they are (not counting me) they think an all round strength team will bring success but us realists certainly know it will not. Its plainly obvious that a genuine top 2 are whats required but are they too dim to realise that - yes!!!

Its plainly obvious that a genuine top 2 are whats required but are they too dim to realise that - yes!!! Basic maths shows that top two riders get an extra ride (ht 15) so teams need riders to take advantage of that, plus opportunity to utilise t/r rides.. Yes - reserves can have extra rides, but averages should eventually dictate that weakest riders are in reserve berth

So Risager and Lanham between them get 26 points from the 43 which seems perfectly decent to me, on average that's 13 pt's each - so which of the remaining 5 should we "prune" before next season? Gavan
It blatently obvious Lanham should be nowhere near the team and Risager was not signed as a reserve so shouldnt be anywhere near the reserve berth. I would expect Lanham to score well at number 6 it doesnt hide the fact that Risager is a huge let down this season.
