Super Blue
Well , been away on hols for a couple of weeks and come back to some interesting debates . Rohan should do ok at no1 as he's won a few races from the no2 position anyway but the averages are currently incredibly close so if Leigh does pick his game up he could well end up the season at no1 again . I still don't think we have it in our locker to really achieve anything this season as there are too many strong teams out there ! Things do really need a good shake up for next season though and you would have thought with all his connections in the sport Chris Louis ought to be able to find some more talent like Rohan to bring in ! Well here's hoping !!!
Baldyman
Don't think he found Rohan, he just came over last year and visited a few tracks.
Gavan
Risager captain?!!!!!!!! biggest joke of the season surely he shouldnt be anywhere near the side LET ALONE CAPTAIN!!! a captain is someone you can look up to a leader both on and off the track and to be honest we dont have one, give it to Rohan. the trouble we have is we built very poorly in riders on the way down in the sport, lanham, doolan, risager, we can carry one of those guys as a second string not 2 as heat leaders! we need more up and coming riders like rohan and cam and build this team. hey lets go and get a number 1 maybe? think we probably the only team without one really as our top rider is averaging 7ish i guess. i agree a lot with aljack he isnt blinkered like most on here though a little over the top in the louis criticism i feel but totally right about the team. i also disagree with him about tress as i think he is ok as a second string/reserve. seanmuffe
Does it really matter who the captain is? All he does is have a toss at 19-30ish. If the riders want advice they'll ask Chris, as he's forgotten more than most of them will ever know. Like most Witches fans, i'm glad to see Taylor back, at least when he's at the start the fans will feel they've got a chance, unlike Doolan who has looked awful on far too many occasions. stop prompting Aljack ............could explain a few things though..........no answers on postcards. Bigtimbers
I think Doolan should remain captain one last time at Foxhall even though he isn't riding.
Travertine
............... Same for Risager, he's about to drop to reserve but who is out there available to come in and do a better job on his current average? I wouldn't think you'd need to worry about replacing Risgaer if he's at reserve, that's probably at his level, and every now and then, he could pull out a cracker and put in a 7-ride performance, as Tress did recently. I think Doolan should remain captain one last time at Foxhall even though he isn't riding. Why not - he's said that he will be there, and you can't fault his dedication, even if his performance was sorely lacking.
Mr Snackette
Rohan will be number 1 on his 6.98 average compared to Taylor who's average is 6.90. I waited until the official GSAs were released and the averages confirm that Yuung Poole will be #1 for August. Risager drops to reserve. Bash
I was only going by the averages 2ndbendbeerhut put up. Will be interesting to see who they put at number 2 as it's going to be hard for Taylor coming back at number 1 after missing so much of the season. Mr Snackette
So what's the line-up tonight, as it ain't August yet? Try the Ipswich / Berwick thread, which I would have thought is the logical place to look!!!!

A reply like a Nicki Pedersen pass - hard and will get people debating if its fair!! So what's the line-up tonight, as it ain't August yet? All bar Leigh can take r/r ride in place of Dak tonight. Willowman
GSAs wef 1/08/2012 Taylor Poole 6.90 Leigh Lanham 6.71 Rohan Tungate 6.65 Dakota North 6.64 Matt Tresarrieu 6.14 Morten Risager 5.89 Cameron Heeps 4.42 And you lot have a go at Aljack for constantly complaining about not having a genuine top 2 riders! Plymouth 18.88 Berwick 16.93 Glasgow 16.71 Workington 16.6 Somerset 16.4 Rye 16.34 Scunthorpe 16.33 Newcastle 16.27 Leicester 16.09 Redcar 15.34 Edinburgh 15.3 Sheffield 13.89 Ipswich 13.8 PS Don't know what happened to the calcs 6.90+6.71=13.61 so I've credited you with 0.29, but you get the idea! Your maths deffo needs working on, only credited with 0.19 not 0.29, but we get the idea! If the PL Pairs are based on these figures we won't be in this event either!
crescent girl
If the PL Pairs are based on these figures we won't be in this event either! Believe the Pairs are based on the aggreate of a club's top three (active) riders from this season only, not the rolling averages. But I'll leave it to the nerds to calculate which three clubs won't be making it to Somerset on that basis.

Thank you willowman but Im afraid most Ipswich fans who comment on here are totally blinkered and brainwashed with the idealism of louis is god and has the midas touch and can do no wrong! But then theres Aljack and a few others who are not blinkered and are totally realistic and realise this Witches team do not have a genuine no1 or no2 and without those will win nothing this season or any other.
