Bigtimbers
Im going to have faith in the team tonight. Win by 12+ i think lately the boys havnt had much tear spirit in the pits. I see Pete wrote on Twitter they all went to lunch today so Im expecting a big improvement cause if you look at it every ride in the team has talent. Goodluck Witches! Baldyman
Apparently you cannot discuss the current team on the ipswich Facebook pages without it being deleted, what a strange attitude.
Ipswich Jules
Where the hell have I ever said I was a realist? And if you read my post again properly you will see that I only agreed that we could have had an 8.3 rider, not that we should have signed one. I was more of the opinion that it could have been possible to sign a new asset on a 7, since that was one of the reasons given to drop down to this league. How do you know I haven't spoke to Chris or john or Pete? I have no problems with talking to any of them, infact I know Chris reasonably well since I used to mechanic for an ipswich rider and play football every week with the other mechanics and riders with Chris. I have also spoke with both Chris and Pete about possibly changing the rider order and have asked them if they have looked at certain riders not riding in this country at the moment and others what do. Please don't try to make out that I am all mouth and no trousers, cos that is something I am certainly not. It doesn't mean that I have to be happy with the way the team is performing at the moment though. It doesn't mean i have to happy with the riders not practicing to put right their problems when they have the time to do so. Sorry Baldyman, I was going by Aljack saying that you are also a "realist" like himself, I shouldn't of put you in the same class as that "fan" - that's not fair on anybody at all! My apologies for any offence caused etc This is getting boring. We have a team capable of much better than they are doing but like last year, there is no consistency. Most people were happy with the team when it was announced & no one could have predicted what happened in the first meeting. Many thought Lanham was a good signing based on his early season form. Tres was voted most entertaining rider last season. Everyone likes a good debate but as far as I can see Aljack has not made one constructive suggestion in the last 2 seasons, just seems to have some personal vendetta firstly with Jerran Hart & then the Louis'. Maybe if you can't make a sensible contribution its time to shut up or put your money where your mouth is if you think you can do a better job. I remember last season - once pushed for a name to replace Hart who was his target at the time - he came up with a suggestion to use Heeps for the rest of the season, totally ignoring the fact that Cameron was 15 at the time and too young to ride in the Premier League, since then I can't remember Aljack coming up with any suggestions aside from the recent "Monberg and a 3pt rider" yet he won't name this 3 pointer so his point about Monberg is kind of wasted. Super Blue
I see on Taylor Poole's Twitter he's planning on having a practice next week , I'm guessing probably after the Workie meeting ? Will be good to see him on a bike again !
Baldyman
With yet another big score tonight, could Rohan have a spell at number 1 this season?
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
With yet another big score tonight, could Rohan have a spell at number 1 this season? He certainly could. Given the small number of matches making up his average he has the greatest chance of making an impact to bridge the gap. Equally a couple of lower scores will have a more pronounced negative impact.I think he would need to outscore Leigh by about 20 points between the cut dates for average assessments for July to do it.Of course with Leigh packing in the bonus points behind him whenever he can I think there is every chance of it happening. Ipswich Jules
Does anybody know if heat 15 counts towards the riders averages? If they do then last night would of been a good chance to help Leigh lower his average to move out of Number 1 by going out in heat 15 and coming last...... Baldyman
I think all the rides are added together and then divided by 4, I think. Edited June 15, 2012 by Baldyman
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Total race points from all rides (bonus points and tactical ride extra points excluded) divided by total number of rides then multiplied by 4 to produce average. Willowman
SAD!!! obviously nothing better to do lol Absolutely! Stayed up until just after midnight posting that blobby thing. Glad you got around to replying to it aljack. No other miserable goat did -- oops, that should have read "nobody else bothered, the miserable goats". (Should the full stop come before or after the closing quotation mark Snacky?) (What about the ) before the ?). Oh sod it.Had to check back and convince myself that all was well when the team was announced and was surprised at what I found particularly from your good self. Hopefully you are now on the up after your good win last night. Another good away performance might help somewhat. For whatever SAD reason, I seem to be following the Witches with some interest this year. Perhaps it is down to my perception that they are the Rebels biggest threat. Perhaps I'll have to start following Worky and Newcy too? Edited June 15, 2012 by Willowman

No wonder Witches will not have any success this season with 2 deadbeat hasbeens in the team.

No wonder Witches will not have any success this season with 2 deadbeat hasbeens in the team. With the rolling averages it is difficult to tell - Leigh for example last night scored 8 from 4 rides which is higher than his average. You would think it would increase his average. However if in the fixture last year dropped from his rolling average he scored 10 from 4 then his rolling average would fall. As the old saying goes there are lies, damn lies and then there are statistics!! The modern saying could of course be lies, damn lies and then theres Aljack!! Baldyman
So Doolan's should start going up soon cos last year he had a low scoring patch for quite a while.

Absolutely - I think someone has a spreadsheet set out to work it out and they could perhaps let us know what scores are due to drop for each rider. (please!!) Mr Snackette
Check the Witches Forum. Karl posted details at the start of the season. http://www.witchesfans.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=fix&action=display&thread=501
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Check the Witches Forum. Karl posted details at the start of the season. http://www.witchesfa...play&thread=501 By my reckoning there is soon a run of meetings where scores of 3,4,6,3 will drop off for Doolan so if he remains solid his rolling average will rise. Although as it is spread over approx 180 rides it will still only be a small rise.
