HasseHolmqvist
KKS and Aljerk - separated at birth or the result of cousins marrying?? I can't make up my mind which it is!! Neither ... he was bitten by a village idiot at the EOES one evening, really unlucky as its the only time he has been in the last 5 years
Fromafar
The trouble is Bruv (Hope I can call you that as your username is v long to type!) it's easier to moan and pick fault than it is to suggest workable solutions, I've had an idea about the riding order and I have put it to the promotion, what do we think Aljerk and Baldyman have done? Have they spoken to the promotion about their concerns and made suggestions? I'd wager that they haven't so really their opinions aren't all that valid if you ask me - it's like the old saying - put up or shut up! You may of answered your own question with Fisher - he's a bit wild (putting it mildly), maybe he was looked at and decided against in light of his erratic (dangerous) riding and not worth the risk should he come a cropper? Seb Alden, well again, maye he was looked at but Swindon are a Thursday night club if I remember correctly and I'd assume they had first dibs on him - so that rules him out. I'm only speculating that the club may of looked at either, for a more definitve answer you know what you need to do - speak to the only people that will know for sure, Chris, John or Simmo Alden belongs to Berwick. Steve Irving
You do though have to ask why Ipswich seem so reluctant to recruit that top line rider at number 1. Is the finance that bad at Foxhall these days? For years they struggled at Elite league level with not having any real top end strength, but you'd have thought the drop to the PL may have ended that scenario, but it's just carried on in the PL too. Strange really. Edited June 12, 2012 by Steve Irving

I'm glad we got that straight. What the Little Boys Club do after that is totally irrelevant!!! Montie, what's the matter with you? I think your brain is going soft with all that comedy you are playing with.... Mr Snackette
Don't worry Tsunami it will soon be lights out time at the Jurassic Home for the Bewildered & Confused, Newcastle, and the orderly will give you your Ovaltine and then tuck you in for the night. You can then dream of what is was like in the old days, when life was far less complicated, riders rode where they were told, promoters had rider assets..........sweet dreams!!! Ipswich Jules
Usual drivel by a perfect specimen of a louis is god lover Attack the post not the poster? Anyway, I've criticised the promotion in the past when I've felt it was appropriate rather than for the sake of it like you do, but that's not the point. I asked a question and yet you've not answered it, instead you've tried to pigeonhole me. How about you answer the question?
Willowman
Well its looks to be a very exciting young side that Louis is putting together and there should be some very entertaining speedway next season at foxhall. Cant wait to see young Cameron Heeps ride and Im sure he will nearly double his average of 3 and if all that Ive been hearing about Rohan Tungate is true, then he perhaps can up his 5 average. Doolan will surely improve on his 7.19 and I agree its time for Taylor Poole to make the break through big time. A little more reserved about Tress and Risager we will see. And if the 7th rider is Dakota North, surely with the way he rides foxhall he will up his average also. Well all the guess work was correct well done those people on the final 7 for the Witches. Although as Ive stated many times Witches needed a no1 I will temper that a bit after seeing this side full of potential. As long as Kevin Doolan can up his average on his new equipment to around 8.5 which is surely not beyond him, we will have one. Who rides at 5 is still a contentious issue and after giving it some thought, think it should be Morten Risager as he can gate quite well and fast when in the lead and obviously has greater experience than most. Keep the very likeable young man Taylor Poole at no2 with Kevin Doolan, they made a good twosome last season. At no3 I would have Matt Tressarrieu partnered by Dakota North at no4. Think this looks a balanced formation what do you guys out there think? Think the real strength of this Witches side will be at reserve, there will not be many better reserves out there Im sure than Cameron Heeps and Rohan Tungate. And Im sure they will get many a 5-1 in the reserves race at home and away and heats 8, 12 and 14 are well covered. Its great to have our team all put together before Xmas and its an excellent Xmas prezzie. So all in all Im very pleased with the team and expect some really exciting racing at foxhall in 2012, bring it on. Its all been said I guess most people are happy with the young exciting team put together, it should make the play-offs ok in my opinion. But just one word of warning about Dakota North taking Lasse Bjerres place, that to my mind is Witches weakness next season. Any others agree? Still have that problem of who rides in heats 13 and 15 with Kevin Doolan who will surely improve a great deal next season on new equipment. Maybe most of us (it can never be all, no matter how good the team), are happy with the team and are now doing our Christmas shoping........I've been doing my Christmas shopping and I am also very happy with the team. Roll on March, another season where I am looking forward to it starting. Seeing as four of the riders are the same, you can only compare the changes. Young Bjerre had three PL outings against North last season, with the Aussie finishing ahead on each occassion. The real question is how the reserves would fare against one another. From what I've seen Heeps is certainly should be capable of getting the better of Hart and Mills. I have yet to see Tungate in competitive action, so any comparison has to be entirely subjective, but based on his reputation he should at least be the equal of both Hart and Mills. So on paper it has to be the 2012 team. But as we have said before, very little is won on paper!!!!!! Yes think so. Sure it happend last year aswell. Ipswich have a large fan base, but I don't think many post on here. I guess It also means that we are happy with our team. Excuse the small text but I had to re-visit what was said when the Witches were announced, hence the multiple quotes in small text. At the time it did seem like there was almost universal support for the team. It also seemed like the promotion had delivered exactly what most were asking for. Early postings did indeed call for Doolan, Risager & Tresarrieu. Okay, there were reservations but they weren't seen as negative signings. Also it also seemed like the pundits and speedway fans also were in agreement and saw the Witches as a top team. So it really amazes me how many of you have already written off the Witches and the season. The way I see it is that you have been very unlucky with significant and lengthy early season injuries. If Poole had continued on his form from Oz then that would have lifted the team and who knows what that would have done for moral. If anything the reservations some had with the inexperienced reserves hasn't transpired and indeed Tungate has been a revelation. Also North has also been pretty useful too over and above most expectations. So is it any wonder that the results have not been necessarily going your way, what with a compromised replacement for Poole and Risager having just started his season? As for Doolan and Tres, well they were universally accepted in the starting line up so if they are not now living up to expectations, well that is unfortunate. I think you still have a lot left to race for in particular if you can restore your side to near the starting line up and put in some confidence building wins. I know we all want to see our teams doing well but sometimes you have to accept, in particular in speedway, that circumstances can quickly turn around your season for the worse (circa Newcastle 2011) and for the better (circa Newport 2011). Hopefully the promotion will look at the situation and do what they feel necessary to get you back on track (as it were). I have highlighted some interesting sentences, funnily enough, most by Aljack, although this was not fully intentional . Just a shame he hasn't lived up to his promises regarding a true #1. Baldyman
So, you both know what I'm going to ask, which rider on a 8.3 average could we of signed who wasn't already lined up for another PL clubs? Once again, there's a lot of slagging off of the team, there's a lot of deriding the riders you both claim to support, yet no names are mention for REALISTIC options, coming from a pair of "realists" I find it somewhat ironic...... Where the hell have I ever said I was a realist? And if you read my post again properly you will see that I only agreed that we could have had an 8.3 rider, not that we should have signed one. I was more of the opinion that it could have been possible to sign a new asset on a 7, since that was one of the reasons given to drop down to this league. How do you know I haven't spoke to Chris or john or Pete? I have no problems with talking to any of them, infact I know Chris reasonably well since I used to mechanic for an ipswich rider and play football every week with the other mechanics and riders with Chris. I have also spoke with both Chris and Pete about possibly changing the rider order and have asked them if they have looked at certain riders not riding in this country at the moment and others what do. Please don't try to make out that I am all mouth and no trousers, cos that is something I am certainly not. It doesn't mean that I have to be happy with the way the team is performing at the moment though. It doesn't mean i have to happy with the riders not practicing to put right their problems when they have the time to do so. tone deaf
This is getting boring. We have a team capable of much better than they are doing but like last year, there is no consistency. Most people were happy with the team when it was announced & no one could have predicted what happened in the first meeting. Many thought Lanham was a good signing based on his early season form. Tres was voted most entertaining rider last season. Everyone likes a good debate but as far as I can see Aljack has not made one constructive suggestion in the last 2 seasons, just seems to have some personal vendetta firstly with Jerran Hart & then the Louis'. Maybe if you can't make a sensible contribution its time to shut up or put your money where your mouth is if you think you can do a better job.

Idiots on here say its not a business thing well it is and louis are just out to make more profit than in the elite league just all of you wise up to that fact. While louis run Ipswich NO success will be achieved Excuse the small text but I had to re-visit what was said when the Witches were announced, hence the multiple quotes in small text.
