Ipswich 2012

Foxhall isnt Saddlebow Road, Doolan suits the less technical tracks where he can just blast around, if he has to think then he loses the speed.

Funny he's always done ok at Rye when I've seen him there.

Taylor Poole's? It's strange because in the group photo he's wearing last years kevlars, but in the action shots in today's star, he's definitely wearing this years.

Yes the early photo shoot mean't he had to wear last years suit, then his new suit arrived during the morning, so he was able to use that at the track!!

reading the expectations and prediction from the Ipswich supporters and with even the reserves challenging for the no.1 spot, the witches will have a total team average of about 70!,will walk the league and smok'em all in the cup!

Someone else who has been reading something that just isn't there rolleyes.gif

Well i haven't seen any Ipswich supporter predict the reserves to challenge for the number 1 spot or walk the league either.

For what its worth, i think we have a chance of the title with this side but that will depend on certain things. Firstly, being lucky enough not to pick up injuries and that goes for every other club too. Injuries happen we know that, and i think the team that may come out on top will be the team that covers for injured riders best.

Very rarely do you go through a campaign without any rider missing meetings through injury.

We have potential no doubt, and if that potential is realised then we'll go very close. But we have a couple of riders who have yet to be tested at PL level so question marks are there.

There's no doubt that Heeps and Tungate have potential to be very good, but its a wait and see with them.

Somerset though, have less question marks. You pretty much know what you're going to get with their riders so they could possibly be seen as favourites.

Having said that, they do need to keep Doyle fit which to be fair, seems a task in itself.

Berwick and Redcar look very good too.

Also the best side in the league over the season won't necessarily win the title. You can be the best team all year, top the league by 20 points, pick up a couple of injuries in your last league meeting and then get done in the play offs because of a weakened team.

Equally, there are those that don't look that great on paper NOW, but could look very different later in the year.

Newport last year, had a shocking start getting thumped here there and everywhere and losing at home, but that enabled them to strengthen up and didn't they just. They went on a fantastic run, flew up the table and finished in the top 6 which this year would get them in the play offs.

Once there, you would have put your money on them lifting the title despite Glasgow being the best team all season long!

Meet The Riders - important clarification - Despite some internet posts to the contrary, this meeting is totally sold out and tickets are NOT available on the night. The venue will be at full capacity and we must comply with the fire regulations in place. We are sorry for those of you who do not have tickets and had hoped to attend, but this event really is sold out.

If anyone has got a ticket, but cannot now attend, I would be a very grateful recipient - I will refund the £3 and make a donation to the Ben Fund :).

Rohan has got a white witch, others have black ones. Strange as his and Dakota both been made by CW.

From the photo that Jaybea published on Facebook, it looks like Tungate, North & Poole have all got "reversed" Witches.

Doolan has got the kangaroo witch logo on his backside, and in the blue areas of his legs you can see designs of a kangaroo on a speedway bike :).
